What does ANY version of Cotto do that would trouble Mayweather?

Cotto has excellent timing on his jab, which is excellent, crushing power and underrated hand speed. He can pull off some pretty sharp defensive moves, but on the whole, his defense is nothing special. His slow feet wouldn't be any disadvantage for Mayweather, because I think he'd stalk him anyway, he wouldn't dart and give him angles. I think he could give Mayweather trouble from the outset if he tries to press the action to close-range (but not all the way inside). If he could make Mayweather uncomfortable - very hard - and ripped him with body shots - probably harder - he would have a shot. But Floyd would tattoo him with straight rights, because I can see Cotto switching to southpaw to avoid the check hook. I don't think Mayweather is aggressive enough to stop Miguel - you need volume punches for that - but he would probably outbox him.Comment
