Will see how easy Juan Diaz is to beat in the rematch.

Not really using triangles Soldier. Katsidis is the #1 contender to Marquez' Thr Ring magazine title more by default. Casamayor and Juan Diaz, who beat him, moved outta the division. Valero off'd himself. And that left Katsidis the last man standing. So according to paper ratings, yeah, he's the next guy in line and Marquez should fight him. But if Marquez can get something bigger and not fight Katsidis, I don't feel in anyway that warrents the ducking accusations coming from the Katsidis camp. He had a pathetic run with Casamayor and Diaz, and now he has to rebuild. And on solid win doesn't completely rebuild his career, IMO.

Maybe katsidis should fight on the undercard to stay busy.

He was just measuring Diaz and setting him up for the middle rounds. People harp on one left hook Diaz landed in the 2nd round and pretend it was more than it was.

If I remember correctly JMM took the shot and came back w/ 6 punches of his own.

Diaz won't make it past 7 rounds in the rematch. Marquez is a master and when its time for Katsidis, he can get ktfo too.

Smart move by kadsidis. He has a better chance at beating JMM or juan diaz at this stage of their career. If he fights Khan he most likely loses bad and probally won't get any more big fights.

What's default about it? He's beaten who he's needed to beat after the 2 losses in '08, so therefore if the rankings deem him to be the #1 contender than it's not his fault they've put him there. The man's just doing his job.

Paper ratings, sure, but it would seem as though many in boxing circles would consider Kats to be the rightful challenger to Marquez based on his performances over the past 4 fights.

And besides Diaz and Funeka, who else is there at 135 for either of them to fight? If Marquez doesn't want to fight a LW after Diaz, then he should drop the titles and get out of the division.

Kats just wants the title, and Marquez happens to be holding it. It doesn't go any deeper than that. That they've said Marquez is ducking him is more of a challenge to get him in the ring than anything else - it's not as if there are many big names at 135, so they (the Kats camp) have to call out someone in order to stay relevant.

What's pathetic about leading an entertaining fight on 2 scorecards before getting caught with a good shot, and putting up another entertaining fight against a former undisputed LW champ? Granted, he lost, but they were good fights and everyone has a bad day(s) - look at Wladimir Klitschko or Manny Pacquiao in their earlier careers.

Oh give me a break. What has been doing for the past 2 years? Dutifully fighting all those put in front of him. Whether they're worthy opponents is irrelevent in the grand scheme of things - he's quietly earned his dues for another shot at the world title, and lots of people would like to see the fight. Due to their styles, it could be very good.

Kats is smart to not give up his interim position. Khan can go screw himself.
