Bute doesn't hit harder than Martinez? Care to explain that?

This is a pretty interesting matchup. Pavlik might lose but it would be close. Bute is one of the most overrated, big names in the sport.

Yeah I also disagreed with him on that.

Also p4p and considering Pavlik will be slower at 68 he might be faster p4p than Martinez aswell.

He's fighting everyone he can. He makes waaay more fightng at home than he would have n the tourney. Why do you say he's overrated? He certaily has the best or second best pop at 168 and he's a slick lefty=problems for everyone.

He is fighting the best he can atm but that doesn't change the fact that he is icing gatekeepers. He may be good, but the way a lot of people hold him up is crazy. Kayoing Miranda and Andrade is impressive but lets be honest, they aren't that good. Most of the top 168 guys could beat Miranda and Andrade pretty easily at this point. I'll give him credit though, he is powerful.

Bute is easy to get hit unlike Martinez.

No one else at 168 is a slick lefty with much pop. Let me know the last time a guy like that was overrated? No one in the division has fought anyone like him. To me he's got trouble written all over him.

I agree that his resume is slightly above average (but his spectacular asswhippngs and obvious improvement make it a bit better). 3 out of the 6 in the tourney have better resumes than him IMO. (at 168). Kessler, ward, dirrell.

I wish there was a boxer for him to fight out there but everyone left is a puncher/brawler. Whoever doesn't make the finals is who he should he gunning for, or the winner of Dawson/pascal (or the loser if they will come down).

To me his major problem is that his handspeed isn't that great. I'd favor dirrell over him.
