If Malignaggi tries to walk down Khan. Then Khan will outbox Malignaggi is that simple.
Oh, is it?
That happened to Kotelnik when he opted to try to walk Khan down. But Malignaggi is notably better, quicker, has more tricks up his sleeve, than Kotelnik.
Some of you guys are acting like Khan has zero vulnerabilities beside suspect punch resistance.
I really didn't get the whole Hunting Shane thing. He did look impressive, he did what he had to do to win, but let's be real, nothing about that fight screamed "HUNTED".
Floyd pressed teh fight the whole night. At no point did Shane have to look for FMJ
I see this sentiment coming from a lot of posters on here.
Khan was taken the distance by Kotelnik (who I believe Paul is better, and will bring more to the table, than).
In between then and now, all he's done is blow away Salita.
Are you guys all just that convinced of Khan's constantly accelerating improvement under Roach, that you can be sure he's now a quantum leap ahead of where he was 10 months ago?
I'd understand that if you all were privvy to a significant enough amount of Khan's training/sparring to know where his development was up to - in that case, if any of you confirm as much, I'll be drilling you for details.
OR, have you all just been seduced into thinking Paul will be a cakewalk because you saw Khan blow away a cold, unseasoned Salita in a round?
Just askin'.
I base the fight on the skills Ive seen in both fighters over their previous fights. The way Paulie boxed Diaz was beautiful and I respect what he can do. I just think Amir has the right qualities in the ring to be a superstar, whether he will be one or not is up for debate. I think Paulie relies on having better hand speed in most of his fights and Khan is faster than he is. I also dont feel Paulie can keep Khan off of him with his mediocre punching power. Paulie makes for a good win on his resume, but I dont see any way Paulie can pull it off.

I've seen you say on a couple different instances that Salita was unseasoned.
What on Amir's resume made him so much more (if at all) 'seasoned than Dmitryi?

Explain to me what success Malignaggi is going to have walking Khan down?
I think Paulie should use his superior quick jab and footwork. And, at time, AT times when the fight is on the inside use his experience and better inside fighting game. But, he can only do that at the time. He should use his legs in this fight.
Him trying to walk Khan down would get him outbox by the quicker taller and IMO better skilled fighter.
