The fight was suppose to happen at 154 but Winky wasnt allowed to re-hydrate more than 159 if i remember correctly, At the time Winky was a big Light-middleweight and he was looking to move up to 160 because he was having a hard time making 154.

Mayweather was baiting Winky at the time about how a one handed man "cant beat me" in reference to Winky's Jab/pee-ka-boo stance but i dont think Mayweather was serious in wanting the fight at the time.

Floyd was also open to fight Hamed at a catch weight as well.

This fight is not ever happening. No way Mayweather would sign for it.

What difference does that make? Is this fight signed, or even negotiated? The point is, Floyd would be willing to fight at a catchweight. And its not a b**ch move either. People misunderstand the purpose of catchweights. They are used to allow two fighters in separate divisions to fight eachother at even terms, so it'll come down to who's the better fighter instead of whose the bigger fighter. Floyd just grew into the WW division, so moving up two full divisions would be ******. Look at what happened to Sugar Ray when he went too far up.

And Floyd was also willing to fight Prince Naseem and Pacquiao at catchweights of 128 and 135 years ago, by the way. He might have even mentioned Barrera, can't remember. So he would fight at catchweights. Its just a matter of whether the fighters will accept. There's nothing wrong with that. People just seem to get confused by catchweights because of the silly 145lb catchweight of Pacquiao-Cotto.

I would actually be nervous on fight night. Martinez has some glaring advantages over Floyd that would make me sweat, especially if the fight was at 160. It would be a tall mountain to climb.

Yep he wanted Hamed at 128 but everyone involve except for Mayweather didnt want to risk Naz at that time.

Of course Martinez has good advantages over Mayweather but to say PBF would lose decisively is over the top considering Martinez's fighting style.

Sergio is great for boxing, he'll fight anybody and is involved in great fights, whilst always bringing his A game. I think him and Floyd would be an interesting tactical battle, but i can't realistically pick anybody to beat Mayweather.....

I say no because he is simply just not busy enough. It is what cost him the win against Paul Williams. He is just your prototypical slick defensive/counter puncher boxer, who often fights in spurts, chooses his spot carefully, circles the ring, moves laterally and gives different angles.

In short, he moves his feet a lot more than he does his hands. If he has any chance of defeating Floyd, then he is going to have take more offensive risks by standing more flat-footed and trading with him by settling down more on his combination punches for power.

He is going to have to at least double Mayweather's punch output in order to win this bout also.

Thats a very interesting point. See I had to be reminded of this. Crazy how the simplest things don't cross your mind.
