Sergio Martinez. Man has good power, size, speed, in and out movement, throws good combinations, good counter puncher, very elusive, and even a bit clever as well... His Balance is a little iffy, but other then that; the man is solid. He reminds me a little bit of Pacquiao with his in an out movement and his ability to put 3 and 6 punch combinations together... Put it this way what you seen what happen to JMM against Mayweather is more or less what you are going to see if Mayweather has the balls to take a fight with Martinez... Who is going to be the bigger, quicker stronger fighter at what ever weight (weather 154 or 160) they decide to make the fight. Mayweather's Jab and his lead left hook will be naturalized, and the only thing that he's going to have is the right lead, and that is not going to be enough against a guy who has the timing to counter over the top of the left jab, and the speed to turn Jr's left hook with a counter. It leaves Floyd with one weapon his right lead. Since all he is, is Right lead, left hook, jab, and 2 to 3 punch combinations at the most... The only thing that is going to keep him in this fight is his defense, but against a guy like Sergio...not going to be enough IMO, and he can't straight up fight this guy like he did Mosley, but if he sit's back he is going to get swarmed (much the way he would if he fought Pacquiao), and with Sergio being the bigger man he should have no problems being able to use his size to push Floyd around, and maneuver him into position. In all honestly there is nothing Floyd does, that I think would give him the edge to beat Sergio.

Martinez has speed, is a good mover and is a southpaw. I think he would definitely cause Mayweather problems, at least early. The thing is Floyd would adjust, like he always has, and find a way to get it done offensively. Once he does that in fights it is typically all over, because his defence is just so good.

It's Martinez's footwork and Southpaw stance that would cause problems. Unlike Pac, Martinez knows how to keep his distance, so this should be an interesting fight.

It's an interesting fight to say the least. Oscar was controlling Mayweather fairly easily until he gassed and stopped jabbing. Even after that, Oscar got the better of any and all exchanges, I think that was due to his quickness and reach. But Mayweather shined in the single shot category.

Now Martinez has great hands and good size and appears to be prime.

But let's be serious, lol it took this long to get Mayweather in with Mosley, Mayweather opted for Baldomir over Cotto and Margarito (good call on avoiding Margarito), so I doubt he'll even entertain the thought of fighting Martinez.

It would be an amazing fight, but it's not in Floyd's method of operation to take a fight like that. :wank:

Get real!!! The only person who has a chance (and a very slim chance) to beat FLOYD is Pacquiao!!! Sergio even at his weight would get massacred by Mayweather!!!

Since Mayweather has never been cut, his cutman is probably a bum or that task is prolly done by 50 cent or Puffy. No one in that corner is gonna know what the hell to do once Floyd is physically damaged like that, new territory and no plan to keep things from getting out of hand.

quite surprised 41% think martinez will beat mayweather. to be honest i dont know much about him apart from he did well against williams, and he beat pavlik. Iv said for a long time that pavlik is fcukin wank. and williams is ok, but certainly not as good as people make out. mayweather would beat every name i just mentioned in this post IMO.
