I think Pea takes it in the defense department, but the difference being Floyd deserves to be mentioned along the likes of Pernell Whitaker. PWill doesnt begin to compare with the likes of Tommy Hearns.

Its good. I just hear WWs get compared to Hearns that have no right to be, like Margarito was for awhile. I think its disrespectful to Hearns, a man who on the right night could beat any WW in the history of the sport.

Floyd is 41-0 so his defense must be pretty good, I see no point in saying Whitaker's was better, did Whitaker have to spend his career being compared to Pep? Let Floyd have his time to shine.

And "heard" of them is all you've done. More of the over glorified fighters of the past who many of us have only seen small samples of.

No statistical analysis of their opponents connect percentage, their competition for the most part pales in comparison to the speed, power, and quickness of the fighters today, etc, etc.

I refuse to place myths above those we've actually seen fight at all stages of their careers.

What myth is there about Pep and Locche? You do know there are footage of them right?

Do you even know who Locche is? There is even footage of him in color.

There is no 'heard' when it comes to Locche. There is visual evidence.

Man you should really get up on the history of boxing. On the real when you do you would find even a deeper appreciation for the sport.

Whitaker was in a different class than Mayweather. Sweet Pea looked for dangerous fights to prove how good he was. He didn't avoid them. Kids should learn more about the rich history of this sport before making comparisons because then they wouldn't be so excited about claiming how great the latest fighter is.

Im not sure they were comparing them in terms of fighting style, but I do know they were placing Margarito in mythical matchups against the likes of Hearns and thats degrading Heanrs to believe there is any comparison.
