Would you bash Floyd if he decided to fight Martinez for the belts at a 158 catch?

You're no physhic man; no offense. Fact is, Martinez might even struggle to make 158 (I don't believe he will) but that is a possibility. None of us here know what might occur in Sergio's camp - THINGS HAPPEN. Or maybe Martinez wants to use those 1-6 pounds as an advantage. Shouldn't the MW champ be allowed that? All I'm saying...

and it should fought with the limits being 160 not whatever the more popular fighter deems it being
      My point: Middleweight is 155-160.

If Floyd fights Martinez for the middleweight title at a 155 catchweight it wouldn't matter because Martinez is really a 154 pounder.

If Mayweather can beat Martinez at 158 he can certainly beat him at 160.

No no no no no no...

Beating Martinez warrants all the respect in the world. Just that I wont consider him a MW champion, I honestly won't, and I won't have a problem with others who don't either.

            ok whatever you say...

Remember when he tried to play mind games on the Fighter of the decade by demanding unheard of testing demands?

Being it's for the middleweight title the fact that Martinez is really a 154 pounder is irrelevant.

Good thing we aren't talking about psychic **** then right. Martinez doesn't will not struggle to make 158 because he does not struggle making 154. If you want to ignore logic and reason and make up a ridiculous scenario, more power to you.

I'm only talking about using the 154 limit for both titles being on the line, if Sergio doesn't want that I see no problem with Floyd fighting him at the MW limit, especially since Martinez probably won't step into the ring over 160.

                    I agree with you there.

I guess I got carried away. I was thinking of the Catchweight that Floyd agreed to with Marquez then just casually broke.

But I have to reiterate that I do not agree, at all, with championship belts at catchweights.

I like Floyd, a lot. I am not a fanatic, but I respect his awesome ability and I enjoy watching his fights. I mean no disrespect to Floyd or his fans, just felt I should express my view on catchweights.

It doesn't matter if he'll struggle or not. The fight would be for the mw title and the boxers have a right to weigh in at the limit. It's really not that complicated.
