Can't believe I just used "per se" in a sentence.
I dont have arguments for anything you posted. I understand the fairness of it is a factor, but thats not what I keep reading. I keep reading how Floyd is scared for his health thats why he wants OSTs. Nobody has been able to prove that that is their own honest opinion. It just feels hypocritical to suddenly act like we are really worried about these guys health when fighters like Victor Ortiz gets criticized for not wanting to take any further punishment. If Victor Ortiz is a coward for not wanting to get beat up further Floyd Mayweather is a coward for even refusing to get in the ring with Pacquiao unless he takes the tests.

I do too. I don't understand that comment, really. When I saw Gerald McClellan and Oscar Diaz being carried out on a stretcher, I felt sick with sadness. I don't watch boxing for that.

Yet Margarito gets a 1yr penalty. That isnt sufficient enough to prevent other fighters from trying it. If I was going to campaign for the sake of fighters health loaded gloves need to be completely eliminated from the sport before we even worry about OSTs.

Yet you watch a sport where fighters are encouraged to hurt each other. Surely you understand the consequences of getting punched in the head repeatedly.

Boxing fans care about fighters as much as people care about race horses.

As long as the horse is fit for the race who gives a damn what happens afterwards.

That's like saying it's OK to break the law as long as you don't get caught. No it is NOT ok. And if a fighter is not cheating he should have no problem taking a test that can prove it without a doubt.

I understand the chances but your statement was that we don't care. I know it's possible but I don't expect it and certainly don't wan't it to happen. Football is a high risk sport too. But that doesn't mean we all watch it for people to get seriously hurt. I watch to see who will win. I'm not looking for life changing injuries or death.

I dont wish anyone to get too seriously injured either, but Im just sick of people acting more moral than they have a right to. You can't criticize people who dont agree with stricter drug testing saying they dont care a bout a fighters health, when you yourself encourage them to put themselves at risk for brain damage in every fight. Thats just a generalized statement I'm not speaking to you personally.
