It is a viable fight, if your not fighting one of Don King's title holders or James Toney, that simply is not deniable.

Perhaps because it is his mandatory and multiple excuses have been thrown up and delays and Rahman has been the most active heavyweight as of late and has rebuilt himself.

When did the WBC rankings President Jose Suliman become such gospel to you? When was your conversion? Care to share?

Okay, according to your logic, Vitali was all set to fight Rahman, but because he wasn't a sufficient challenge he decided to forego fighting a guy that could get him the in he needs to fight King's champions to take on a guy he considers to be a tougher opponent? That's what your saying?

Never, I could care less about any belts but Oleg has done nothing significant nor has any of the named opponents Vitali has. Rahman is his mandatory and the only way people will call Vitali champion is if he has that green belt of his.

I really dont care if Vitali fights Rahman Maskaev Barret Peter Valuev. To me they are all on the same level. Rahman is just getting pushed because he is promoted properly. The shame of it all to me is we cant get any of the current title holders fighting each other.

He is not the mandatory until he beats Barret. Which there is no guarantee he will. Rahman has lost to very average opponents in the past.

I totally agree we need unification and I was a bit surprised when Toney vs Byrd was a "done" deal and then Toney gets stripped and we cant get Byrd vs Ruiz.

Nothing and nobody is credible in that division.

No, Rahman is the mandatory but since Vitali was "injured" they ordered that the Number 1 and 2 ranked fighters will fight it out for the interim title since the champion wasnt available. Rahman is the number 1 ranked mandatory while Monte is number 2.

a lot of these guys who are being mentioned are not likely to give klitschko any problems, these are guys who have not achieved much, and have been beaten easily before, i think if anyone is going to give him a tough fight it will be someone like krasniqi, or a focused juan carlos gomez, guys like that who are pure boxers.

VK v. Maskaev is a ****ing joke...this will give the VK haters a lot of ammo and the VK lovers less credibility when they defend this.

I think VK is better than alot of people think...I wouled favor him over any HW in the wolrd right now but fighting MAskaev is disgusting. Clean up the division and then take a fun little fight like all champs do but with VK's age it is now time.
