The fight with Rahman is going on six years now...last time I saw him was against David Defiagbon and he looked terrible.

I think people are just frustrated with Vitali at this point. He has been annointed The Next One ever since the fight with Lennox and while he won a title there always seems to be an excuse as to why he can't take on any more bigname fighters. Injruies, politics, whatever, it's all getting tiresome. Not all of it is his fault, of course, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

Not to mention that sooo many of his fans (not all, of course, nobody who has defended him in this thread yet) strut around as if the man has proven him indisputably to be the king of boxing.

EDIT: I wrote that last bit before SturmRules showed up on the scene.

I dunno if your source is too credible. Plus if this fight does come off, look at it as a tune up for either Rahman or Barret. Klitschko will now be on almost 9 month lay off. He needs a tune up, as well as Rahman or Barret wouldn't be able to make the 6 weeks notice fight as well I would think.

Either way Toney doesnt want to fight Vitali and is using money as his excuse, while Brewster has to vs his mandatory challenger.

I think it is ducking first he pulled his quad and then Rahman is like ok I am ready lets go when you are. Time comes all of a sudden the Quad injury is buried in the dirt and never mentioned again and all of a sudden he has back surgery. What happened to the quad? It isnt ever mentioned and everybody acts like it never had happened. Quad injuries are very serious and can take MONTHS to heal.

Vitali is frauding his injuries, I hope Oleg decks his ass and puts him flat on his back.

I dont know why Vitali is dodging these guys either, I mean Rahman can be dangerous but chances are slim he will come in prime and ready to go again and Monte isnt a big threat to Vitali.

JPW-Byrd needs to fight Ruiz, Byrd was all about fighting Toney and it was even practically done and the IBF and WBA agreed and now the stripping incident happened and the IBF champion wont fight the WBA.

The heavyweight division is full of ******* and they couldnt fill an ounce of a featherweight fighters heart today. It is a disgrace to call yourself a fan of the heavyweight division today with the champions.

Six years ago. You gonna rank Joe Louis as a current heavyweight contender? Dude's dead but he did beat Max Schmeling.

Rahman Valuev Maskaev Peter are all on the same level in my opinoin.

                    Valuev has beaten absolutely nobody.

Peter is slow and has beaten absolutely nobody.

Rahman is still milking that knockout win off Lennox Lewis 6 or so years ago.

Maskaev is not worse than any these pretenders.

Credible or not the fact is that Vitali has been dodging his WBC mandatory fight for a while and once this fight was moved to the 13th of August, Vitali all of a sudden makes a statement saying hey I am ready a few weeks after the Rahman fight.

Come on now, Vitali will wait and wait and wait.....**** him.
