Totally agree with you bruh, but though people hold Floyd in high acclaim, it doesn't mean they have to consider him to Greatest of All Time just because...

There's over 100 years of Boxing to follow. The best you can be is the best of your particular era, and Floyd right now is setting his mark to becoming that. Thirty years from now there'll be another fighter in the limelight with notoriety from fans and media proclaiming himself as the greatest, while we may question it saying, "Wait a minute...what about Floyd Mayweather?"

Sounds crazy now, but it's indeed inevitable.

To say he doesn't stand a chance with his defence ,smarts, speed, power, great movement, stamina, great chin, great head movement, great offence, heart, and skill is just out right ******. Floyd is a threat against any of the all time greats. Watch Robinson vs Lamotta and then tell me if Floyd can compete with the Sugar man.
Is there tape of Robinson at 147? I'm not sure. But anyway, I've always been blown away by the clips I've seen. The little things you see in a great fighter: timing, intelligence, accuracy. Obviously, that is not enough to judge a fighter. But it's clear to me Robinson would have done quite nicely in this era..

I gave my opinion and you want a list of fights that I have watched? What the **** does it matter. I said what I said.

Just wondering if I've seen as much or less than you (so that I may learn in the latter case) - name the fights, por favor?

Why so defensive? I have no issue with an educated opinion - why would I have?

I merely asked how many fights and which ones you'd seen, for my own education.

You should be happy to furnish a fellow fan with these details - why wouldn't you be?

          Fellas,

I guess the defensiveness and the silence are your ways of saying you're full of ****.

You've helped demonstrate a point I was making earlier about a %age of fans who make bold statements without even knowing what they're talking about,

          Thanks.

Yep. And listen, I've watched "a lot" of it.

I will now make a list of all the failings and flaws I saw in Robinson when viewing these wonderful reels on the movie projector in my mind on the 12th of Never some unspecified number of years ago.

I'm not going to tell you which fights, though. I'm just going to get paranoid and defensive and give you the 'I was just stating an opinion and what does it matter, anyway' screed instead.

Some people have been saying SRR, SRL, Hearns, Oldtime Welterweight X, etc. would beat Floyd because they are too big. I don't think that type of reasoning is valid because size does not win fights except for heavyweights, and even for them there are other factors that are more important (which is why 217 lb David Haye was able to beat 316 lb Nikolay Valuev). Aside from heavyweights, everyone else has a weight limit they have to be under which means that boxers with a naturally heavier build will either have to lose muscle mass or dehydrate themselves to make weight. Both approaches have some major disadvantages, which might explain why two of the smallest boxers in the WW division are currently dominating everyone who tries to fight against them. Besides, SRR was at his best in his youth when he weighed around 144 rather than later on when he weighed around 160.

Secondly, for those predicting an early KO: almost half of SRR's fights ended in decisions. Expecting him to KO someone who has great defense and has never been close to being knocked out is a little unreasonable. A fight between SRR and Floyd Mayweather is almost certain to go the distance. SRR is the GOAT and I think I would favor him to win but it should be a very competitive fight.

The 24 beginers that think Mayweather could beat Robinson should read through the history section(not post, just read) perhaps they could learn a bit about boxing and what it takes to be a great boxer.

Alot of his bouts consist of rabbit punching and excessive holding. So again, I can't really answer the question. Also I mean no offense by this, really don't.

SRR's one punch KO power and lightening combinations, and jab and movement and granite chin and amazing work rate would be way too much for Floyd at WW.
