Athletically and in a boxing ring I dont think anyone in history beats a Prime Roy. However Floyd is dominating at a consistent level year in and year out. Through old age and all. The resumes are close but Floyd is just on another level IMO.
roy jones was 3 years older and had like 10 more fights.

let's see how floyd does 2-3 years from now or 10 more fights from now.

I want someone to name me Floyds 10-15 biggest wins and compare them to Jones 10-15 best and explain to me how Floyds are better or name me a win on Floyds resume and I can show you a comparable or better win on Jones.

Atm it's definitely Jones with his 90s Fighter of The Decade and the challenges he took while being past prime. Let's see what Mayweather does when he's past prime which is he is nearing it imo. Past prime Jones beat Tarver, Trinidad and Lacy, lost to Tarver(2), Johnson, Calzaghe, Green, and Hopkins.

Prime Jones beat Hopkins, Hill, Toney, Pazienza, McCallum, Griifin, Grant, Reggie Johnson, Hall, Gonzalez(beat Dariousz afterwards), Woods, and Ruiz in the legendary move up to HW division. That would be like Mayweather getting a belt at 168 or close to that(40lbs north of MW=HW..40lbs north of 130=170 which is rounded out to 168). Imo that move up in weight already gives Jones the edge. Champ in 4 weight classes.

Prime Mayweather has beaten Hernandez, Corrales, Mosley, Castillo(2), De La Hoya, Marquez, Hatton, Judah, Baldomir(Hasn't lost in 8 years coming in to the fight), Chavez, and Gatti. Champ in 5 weight classes but very close to eachother. I will give Floyd at least 2 more years including this one, to be past prime. So by 2012(35-36 years old) I expect Floyd to not be the same fighter anymore.

Roy Jones Jr until further notice. Floyd's career is not over.

            Who has Mayweather beat?

He may well be one of the greatest fighters ever but his resume isn't great.

Although I said Jones, I refuse to vote because Jones is already finished while Floyd has about 2 more years in his prime. A Pacquiao win and maybe a move up to 160 changes my vote slightly. But it is really hard to beat that move up to HW to fight a legit HW champ for one of the three main ABC belts. Floyd's gonna have to at least move up and fight once at 160 just to come close to Jones accomplishments.

And I know it's not about accomplishments, it's about who the greater fighter is I still say Jones atm. Mayweather is a great fighter but Jones was better. Let's see who Floyd else Floyd beats in his prime and in what fashion he beats them. If he goes on to beat up top competition like he did to Mosley then can come closer.

You have to give it to Mayweather. He is technically far superior to anyone out there at the moment as well as in the last 20 years with the exception of Joe Calzaghe.

Jones has beaten some greats but his recent fights has tainted what he has done in the past. He should have quit a long time ago when he beat Ruiz.
