the poll results are a joke.
it's roy and it's not even close.
best wins? hopkins , toney > corrales , castillo
hill > mosley
ruiz > baldomir
roy is a natural middleweight who dominated light heavyweight and fought practically everyone.
floyd was a natural lightweight who got selective on who he fought when he got to welterweight.Comment

no it's not.
roy is just being underrated and forgotten because of how crappy he's been the past few years.
resume wise it's roy.
skillswise it's a push. floyd has the superior technical skills but roy had the superior physical and natural skills.Comment

Green K givenTOO early to judge, but Mayweather right now is where Roy was in 2003.
Martinez is Floyds John Ruiz
Pacquiao is Floyds Antonio Tarver
Mayweather needs to make the smart decision and face the guy in his own weight class first(pacman), and save the bigger guy for later.
Dont make the same mistake Roy Jones made by moving up, then coming down in weight to face a dangerous guy.
smartest thing I've read here all week....Comment

Roy is one of my all time faves. I think most people on here dont realize he was the man prior to like 2004 or something like that.
Athletically and in a boxing ring I dont think anyone in history beats a Prime Roy. However Floyd is dominating at a consistent level year in and year out. Through old age and all. The resumes are close but Floyd is just on another level IMO.Comment

how?
corrales , delahoya , hatton , castillo , baldomir , mosley?
all those fights together don't equal beating just hopkins at 160 and toney at 168.
you want to talk about mosley? what about mccallum? virgil hill?
you want to count marquez? hell beating vinny pazienza at 168 is more credible. vinny actually was fighting at 168. roy didn't make him jump straight from 154 to fight him at 168.Comment
