Where do you guys have Floyd locked in the ATG list?
i dont agree, he is like top 40.
but, out of curiosity TS, where do you rank Pac?

ok,to be honest,i think top 10 too.this is because i have rarely seen a fighter with everything in his locker like floyd.one of the best all time defense(shell, shoulder roll,),smart offensively, wicked left hook, arrow like straight right to body and head, body movement, head movement, best footwork, best stamina(never tires),cat like reflexes, chin, heart.
what else do you lot need to see.
am just saying it is rare for any boxer old and new to have possess ALL these abilities.NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG,AM NOT EVEN SAYING THAT HE BETTER THAN ALI but i believe floyd is on top of all those things above, when he gets in the ring,he is the smartest boxer ever.tell me who in history possesess all these qualities.????? or even name me some qualities in the ring that floyd does not have compared to the greats?? on top of this i must add,i am from this era so may be biased caused i have seen so much more boxing now than old time fights so i don't mind the different opinions or even critism but no need for childish rants. (i may make this a thread to see what people think..) PEACE

He may be talented, but you dont rank by skill. then Roy Jones would be top 10 too. Floyd hasnt done enough, he hasnt beaten enough good opposition. if you look at the current 20 ATG they have all beaten other ATGs. Floyd hasnt, as far as i am concerned. but if he keeps on fighting for a year or two he can absolutely make the top 20.

          A lock?

Im not sure about that. Not yet.

Skillwise he could possibly be top10, seriously, but his resume is lacking abit compared to other ATG top20 fighters.

If he beats Pacquiao, Martinez or Williams he is def a lock for top20 and possibly even better.

That would be sick. Especially if he picks up the middleweight title in the process.

This debate comes down to perceived challenges. I am pleased that Floyd fought Mosley and the fact that Mosley appeared faded and old was not Floyd's fault. It could have been the opposite on the night.

I actually feel that a Williams fight would be as good as or even better for Floyd than Pac as Williams has a fearsome reputation (rightly or wrongly) and is another elite champion level fighter at welterweight with an added size advantage.
Either way, Mosley is a good win for the resume but there is still some way to go to enter the legendary status of top 20 ATG.

Be aware that a large number of the more common candidates for that ranking were not just skilled and great fighters but really exceeded the sport in their mythos and reputation.

he needs a couple of more wins to make that claim.....pbf is my favorite fighter of all-time and i think he could compete in any era....but the top 20 is a special group(not saying that floyd isn't special) but as much as floyd fans don't want to admit, pac's case to be in the top 20 is better than pbf. saying all that i have pbf beating pac.
