In my opinion Floyd is now an ATG top 20 lock

I would say beating manny gets him into top 15-20 range. He would need to do something extraordinary to get in the top 10, like beating a formidable 154lber, id most like to see him fight pac, berto, and paul williams

I'm sure you're a big fan of SRR and Pep, a few two minutes youtube vids did the trick huh?
you make it seem like you got a big collection of srr and pep fights, or like you been to their fights live

So going from being a lineal champ at 130 to a lineal champ at middle weight is something that is unprecedented, please use your brain next time you try to clown someone!!!
if he fought them at middleweight maybe.

if he ever fights one of them it will be at 154 or below

Great point...its easy to use hindsight and I don't often agree with it but mosley didn't look good at all on saturday night, I said that to my friend after the 1st round. People got carried away with his chances because he was a great fighter, and with fighters like mosley you always think maybe they have one great fight left in them, but it was unrealistic to think he would compete with floyd. For the record I said this before the fight, but I have to give floyd credit becuase he nearly stopped mosley and I didn't think he would be that dominant, he looked as good as ever.

No I don't and no I haven't......but I'm a student of the sport and as much I know right now (which is not much, but more than the average poster here), I'm realistic I have so much more to learn since boxing has such a rich history.....I'm not the one here trying to claim fighters are ranked such and such, without having a clue about it's history and being unable to put together a legit, well researched top 50 list

Exactly. People over glorify past greats due to little more than mystic. We immortalize past greats in our hunger for legends. Fact is though, we don't really know how good Willie Pep is or how he would have fared against modern fighters. I for one wouldn't put money on him in a bout against Sweat Pea or Floyd at 135. Modern athletes trump those of the past and there's factual data to prove that. It's like trying saying Babe Ruth was a batter ball player than Griffey Jr. or Barry Bonds, when the opposite is blatantly obvious. People simply romanticize the past.

Floyd is top 30. Pac and Floyd need to fight for legacies sake.

well sergio didn't even make 160 i believe maybe fight night he was but he was somewhere in the low 150's when they fought i believe.

I'm sure if he would fight sergio it would be for the lineal middle weight title and no other reason.

LoooL, top 20 is too high. Hes just around top 30. If he can beat pac, then we can consider him on that position. But for now top 30 is enough for him. Defeating an inactive 38 y.o. is not that impressive and still not enough to prove his greatness. Im also a fan of floyd but i think putting him on top 20 ATG list at this very moment is too early.

He would be lucky to break the top 50,and when you consider the other fighters above him, that really is a compliment.
