If Manny accepts 14 days, he would be accepting the exact same offer that Floyd settled on. If Floyd says, "No" he is renegging on his offer.
It will be seens as a duck.
As for some of the responses on this thread....Just because your a fan of Floyd, it doesn't mean you have to agree with his every whim. It is almost as if you don't want Manny to fight Floyd.
You telling me that Manny is going to slip PEDS in the 14 day window before the fight (mind you they test them right after the fight)... It is laughable. If anything it really tells me that Manny is effected by blood drawn.
IF HE WAS A STEROID USER, HE WOULD HAVE ENDED NEGOTIATIONS AS SOON AS MAYWEATHER SAID BLOOD TESTING. Not to mention he wouldn't be messing with a 14 day window.
I think Floyd is right to want more stringent blood testing. But if he rejects 14 days, he will be seen as an ass.
It is really easy to see through it. Stop being groupies and think sensibly.

You'll get shot if you think sensibly. Hooligans don't think well of those who have a will of their own.

According to Pacquiao's past negotiations-he was allowed all the control because he was a bigger ppv draw,etc....the shoe is on the other foot now.
The 14 day window was given back then, and when MANNY refused it-Floyd stated that he would have NO cut off time after that offer.....now suddenly Manny changes his mind when it is possibly too late for that offer....Last edited by damned1974; 05-02-2010, 11:28 PM.

Let me give you some examples. Mosley turned down a fight with Floyd at 135 (in 1999) and then again at 147 (in 2006). Yet when he realized what a big star Floyd had become and how much money he could make, he suddenly wanted the fight and started calling Floyd a coward when Floyd declined Mosley's overtures. Miguel Cotto wanted nothing to do with Floyd at 140. Yet, after Floyd became a star at 147, Cotto suddenly wanted the fight and claimed Mayweather was dodging him. Floyd tried to secure a fight with Ricky Hatton in what would have been Floyd's first first at 140. Hatton's father and promoter turned it down. Then later...you know the story.
Pac turned down the fight with a 14-day cutoff for testing. Now, all of a sudden, he wants the fight and expects Mayweather to agree to the same terms as before, even though Mayweather is in a better negotiating position. And when Mayweather says , 'no, the terms have changed', Pac's people and the haters will claim that Mayweather is "afraid" of Pac.
This is the equivalent of the beautiful college co-ed who rejects the interest of the plain looking, but nice fellow student. Yet 10 years later, after he becomes a powerful, influential millionaire, she suddenly sees him differently and expects him to jump at the chance to date/marry her, even though he now has plenty of gorgeous women to choose from.
The terms have changed. A 14-day cutoff and 50-50 split is no longer on the table. Pac should have taken it when he had the chance.
