I don’t understand why people keep bringing up how crazy it is that pacquiao demanded the 10 million dollars a pound clause. How many times before has pacquiao tested positive for steroids?

Now, how many times has Mayweather come in over the previously agreed upon weight limit? cough, Marquez. Pacquiao has a justifiable reason to demand such a clause while Mayweather has no bases other than an assumption to be demanding such drug testing. Both these guys need to get in the ring already and leave all this bull**** behind. 14 days and a 40 to 50 million dollar paycheck is more than fair.

let me remind u of something.. the testing is supposed to be up until the weigh in, team pacquiao first said they wanted a week, floyd gave them a week, then they wanted two weeks, floyd gave them two weeks, then they wanted 24 days and pulled out when floyd said no. himself having agreed to mannys just as crazy clause on the million dollars a pound thing instantly.

now manny says 14 days and yall act like it means something. at a clottey PC he said he was fine with testing just not the day of the fight. eighter this guy is bull****ting with us or his english is worse than we think, eighter way dont trust it.

arum still says they will not fight with any added tests, period. roach is saying 17 days and manny 14.. all these dudes are just talking out of their ass just like they were during the first negotiation.

In terms of big money fights. All roads lead to Manny Pacquiao.
That will always be the case. Always remember that Pac beat Cotto in flying colors. Mayweather beat Mosley in colorless UD. Cotto vs Mosley was about dead even. Lol. I'm not going to say Cotto beat Mosley. That would upset boxing gurus here.

Floyd wanted testing until the weigh in. Then Pac offered 30 days. and then Floyd offered 14 days. and then Pac offered 24 days after that.

They didn't reach an agreement, fight off.

Now Pac has agreed to Floyd's original compromise and he suddenly doesn't deserve it because Floyd beat Mosley?

Floyd not agreeing to 14 days is like Floyd accepting 24 days and pac tells him no random drug testing at all.

bottom line: If Floyd doesn't accept 14 days he's ducking Manny
Floyd had mentioned a few months ago that "Pacquiao can forget his initial offer, because after Manny refused it-he would have no cut-off period"...
It is in USADA's hands when the tests occur-not Floyd's....there is no sense in compromising on rigid testing,it is either done to the purist form or not done at all.You cannot tamper or compromise with the testing or you lose the nature it is designed for.

and i dont think he just fights for money eighter. hes just playing the bad guy character to draw crowds and become a bigger star, hes not a good actor. he fights for legacy trust me.
          Hatton, JMM, Baldomir, Judah.

If he fights Martinez at 154 or Paul Williams i believe he's fighting for legacy.

It doesn't seem like he cares much about his legacy when he had a 2 year layoff in his prime and considering having a one year lay off now.

14 days isnt perfect but it would be cool with me "only" if its unlimited amount of test. Before they said they only wanted 3 test and one of them was to be after the fight. That means only 2 pre fight test and none are really random because one is going to be not long after the contract is signed, another is going to be near the 14 day mark and the other is after the fight. He knows when they are coming so it defeats the purpose. Let there still be 5 blood test and then its a good deal

Funny how no one said this when Floyd compromised with the testing last time around...

                hatton - top10 ranked p4p
JMM - back in shape fight, easy money
baldomir - universally recognized WW champion of the world
judah - universally recognized #2 ranked WW in the world

as for his layof, sometimes u need a break. leonard took more than a few and nobody would accuse him of not fighting for legacy, i think the break floyd took was a wise move. as good as he looked against mosley it can only have served him well. boxing is a rough sport nothing wrong with taking time to heal.

Is that even relevant? The fact is,Manny wanted to choose which days he would take the tests as well as how many would take place-that defeats the point of effectiveness and the nature of being 100% random.
Like I said earlier-once MANNY REFUSED the initial offer (over his superstition,blood/needle phobias, etc),then Floyd said that Manny would have to agree to USADA's testing.USADA doesn't care who Manny is-status makes no difference...

In fact,if you want to play that card, you can say that Floyd did what he could to make the fight even throughout Manny's selfish requests (glove size that Manny feels magnifies his power, ring size so Floyd cannot move around,a 10 million dollar stipulation-the largest in history, etc-all of these can be perceived as a way to discourage Floyd from taking a fight).Floyd's simple and singular request benefits ALL fighters envolved-it is not unreasonable, nor impossible....no excuses needed.

I wonder why Manny's fans aren't encouraging him to go through with vigorous testing that offer him a shortcut to his legitimacy, instead of a lawsuit that will not prove anything but an attempt to place mystery on his public's su****ion...
