He needs to spar people who will circle him all day and have him not "reset" because that's what he does, he resets and then comes in in a linear fashion again.
That's not true at all. Kessler landed the hook whenever he threw it against Froch, and the way I saw it he was better at crouching and going lesser in straight lines than against Ward. I saw an improved fighter compared to the Ward fight for sure.

That being said Ward (and Dirrell) will always be a tough match-up for him, but I think that Ward might be frustrated if he is not allowed to do all his rough stuff that really is an integrated part of his style.

It's not a good left hook man... It lands like a slap and he can put allot more power into it. At times he could have got Froch out of there but well, maybe he picks it up. That's a trainer's job, even in winning to analyze what you did wrong and improve on it. Ward does know how to clinch and that's rare for a 25 year old. It's not pretty at times. Head butting like it happened twice in the Kessler fight isn't usually part of his arsenal.
Here's what he usually does. Take notice how he'll clinch and tie up his opponent.

Did you ever think the steady stream of sarcasm threads with big, definitive statement headers like "Andre Ward Ruined Kessler" might do more harm than good? I mean, whatever the degree of 'wit' behind it, it becomes somewhat a reinforcement of what you're decrying when you make such a regular habit of it. Or are you just spamming for points?

Ward's holding and heat butting in the Kessler fight was a disgrace. That refereeing was so bad it was beyond a joke.... almost a Ottke-Reid showing.

Ward is the dirtiest fighter in the game today.

Ward did fighter a little on the dirty side when he fought Kessler ...I mean it was obvious he was driving the head on through....the ref never warned him once for it....
The thing is Calzaghe showed what to do to beat Kessler...and Ward has even said that he watched and learned from that fight on how he was gonna beat kessler !
So if they fought again i would still pick Ward

Kessler's too damn stationary. He moves frton, back, and side to side. Guy's gotta learn to circle and cur corners...people act as if Ward beat him because of the headbutts...after watching that fight numerous times, I can safley say Ward beat him by outboxing him and not because of the ACCIDENTAL headbutts.
how can five times be accidental?

At least Kessler showed how to fight a good fight on his home ground without involving the referee. Unlike the disgraceful antics form Ward.

Dirrell will kane Ward as well I think.

I can only tell you about how superior Ward is to Kessler in all ways.

If Ward had been admonished for the perceived intentional fouls, Kessler still loses.
Some people want to act like S.O.G. wasn't outclassing Kessler all ends up before any cut was even opened (the first of which was opened on a punch, and was under the eye), or wasn't totally dominating him -- tagging him freely, making him miss, bewildering him with angles, swelling him up with a panoply of clean, effective punching -- before the 8th when the cut over the left eye was opened on a head collision. Kessler, for his part, should've been able to make adjustments to cope with, and protect himself from, the rough stuff from Ward. Ward appeared the seasoned veteran in there, not Kessler.

For the sake of realism, the officiating wasn't near like Ottke-Reid, and the fight itself certainly wasn't.

                      Ward >>>>>>>>>> Kessler, 10/10.
