In the opinion of George Peterson, trainer/manager of Paul Williams, former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik needs to leave the middleweight division behind, and immediately move up to 168-pounds. On Saturday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Sergio Martinez won a marvelous twelve round decision over Pavlik to capture the WBO/WBC middleweight titles. I thought Pavlik didn't do so bad, I thought he landed some good punches for the most part against Martinez.

Peterson knows Pavlik has a rematch clause and that Martinez is Williams' most lucrative and preferred option.
He would love Pavlik to move up, so Paul can go directly to Martinez after Cintron, instead of having to look for an opponent afterward.
I would rather see Martinez-Williams II, instead of a Pavlik rematch though. Move your ass up Kelly.

Pavlik figured out Martinez until his 2nd cut,then he was screwed.I knew Martinez would be a tough fight for him-he should have tried to get someone else-I believe Paul Williams is an easier fight for Kelly,because he will stand in front of Pavlik and trade...
