I agree mate, it would be intretsing to see what gameplan pavlik would have if the rematch took place.Probs repeat what he did from rounds 5-8 lol

It's an interesting decision Pavlik has to make, Does he look to rematch the guy who just beat him up (putting aside 2-3 rounds) or does he move up and look to make some noise at 168. I do think he could beat alot of fighters at 168 and make his name there. I think that would be the better move for him, Especially since he struggles to make 160lb's. Pavlik basically beat Taylor twice then lost badly to Hopkins, then came back against a couple of mediocre opponents in the form of Rubio and Espino. He stepped up in class against Martinez and lost quite badly. I think he should move up, Rather than risk a 3rd career loss in an immediate rematch with SM, If he lost again. Then he's practically in the same position that Jermain Taylor was in after Pavlik beat him twice.

I think Kelly needs to re-energize his career and the best move is to proberbly move up. There are much better names at 168 aswell.

Not so much when its the guy im backing is getting beaten so i can see why you might think that, but it happens in all sports and it entertains people.
My friend commented that Sergio should stand there and trade with Pavlik. I then commented to my friend, he would have a short career as a trainer if he advised any fighter to do that. He nullified Pavlik's best attribute, which is brute strength/power, why stand in front of the guy and give him an opportunity to successful, ring generalship means that you dictate the fight not the other way around. Martinez looked very, very good last night and again is a problem for anyone from 154-160.

Sure, go from being the 2nd or 3rd best middleweight in the world to the 7th or 8th best SMW in the world. Makes perfect sense.

only reason this dude is sayin this is so that paul doesnt have 2 wait around for the rematch. he would love for kelly 2 move up cuz then williams can fight sergio after cintron. idk why people are sayin paul would tax pavliks ass just because martinez did. styles make fights and his style was perfect 2 beat kelly. cant say the same for williams. pavlik couldnt really find sergio & paul is very easy 2 hit, i think kelly would put him on his ass. & i think paul outhustles sergio the same way he did in their first fight.

Think Pavlik will take the rematch. Think its the best fight for him right now. And if blood is not pouring into his eyes, and with the rust off there could be a rubber match. Williams could be waiting for some time before his chance at the middle weight belts.

First of all - Pavlik is cool in my book for taking a fight with Martinez. I predicted a UD for Martinez...but IMO - I don't think Pavlik should take the re-match...the style is just wrong for him. I know many people were thinking Pavlik is just too big...but martinez movement was too confusing for Pavlik, subsequently, he couldn't plant his feet to deliver the power shots. Anyway...It's nice to see Martinez get a break...he deserves it.
