    hmm

Oktay Urkal is better than anyone Hatton fought until Tszyu.

Mayweather just got to 140 and fought way better comp his whole career compared to Hatton.

Witter at least had fought Judah, although he got owned. His fights with Judah and N'dou made him at least in par with Hatton's career comp until Tszyu.

So no, there was nothing blind about people saying that. There are some haters who refuse to acknowledhe Hatton now...but that's another story, they're idiots.

The fact remains, you love Ricky just a little too much to admit his lack of comp before Tszyu. However, now Ricky is on the right path. Good for him.

I dont think that would be smart

One lil upset and the crowd will kill chico and lacy LOL

      Imagine the atmosphere in there

Urkal IS better than anyone that Hatton faced up to Tszyu I Agree!... But Urkal is not a TOP 140lb FIGHTER... Mayweather's last meaningfull fight was the rematch with Castillo way back in 2002'

        2002' That's along time ago!

So from the list at the start of this thread... there's no doubt that Hatton is the BIG BOY in this division!

P.S... Witter may have "once fought Judah in 2001'" but that doesn't make him a great fighter!

There's a HELL of a lot more money in that than there is in a hotel in Vegas...

And the Champs, Corrales etc already wanna come to England to fight him for that reason.

^he can sell out 70 thousand in england but he wont even be able to sell out 5 thousand in america or other countries, what does that tell you?

even prince naseem fought in USA

^face it he will never get the dues he deserves by deprieving the fans in the USA to see him fight live! It is really un fair and HATTON said it himself "See me in the STATES soon" He wants to fight in the states and I think it is better he will add more fans and exposure.

                Martin,

Home crowd can do a lot for a fighter, **** Hatton dethroned the king! How would he fare without the crowd on his side, and the comfort of judges and referee? It's a different fight when your on the road and lacking such luxuries and I guess most of us want to see what Hatton can do "against all odds". Can you imagine what more people would have said if Hatton would have won the title in Australia or in the States?

So? LOL Teddy Atlas said it best on tuesday night fights, there is not a human alive that cannot be influenced when being surrounded by 22 000 crazed die hard fans. But the scoring was relatively fair except for one judgewho scored it like a monkey.

^agreed. Hatton has to prove how he fairs without hometown advantage! look at manny pacquiao when he demolished barrera! until hatton can prove himself and fight homesick he cannot be considered a top pound for pound! I like hatton I think his promoter is the worst promoter ever this guy coddles his fighters and never lets the big fights happen! Fighters should not be signed to deals with certain stations! it makes good fights not happend because of silly bidding war of who gets to show the fight that is what is hold us back from seeing great fights.
