Why Ricky Hatton rules the 140lb division!

    Their last 3 fights:

    Ricky Hatton
    Kostya Tszyu - W RTD 11
    Ray Oliveira - W KO 10
    Michael Stewart - W TKO 5

    Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr.
    Henry Bruseles - W TKO 8
    DeMarcus Corley - W UD 12
    Phillip N'dou - W TKO 7

    Ivan Vivian Harris
    Oktay Urkal - W TKO 11
    Oktay Urkal - W MD 12
    Souleymane M'baye - W UD 12

    Miguel Angel Cotto
    DeMarcus Corley - W TKO 5
    Randall Bailey - W TKO 6
    Kelson Pinto - W TKO 6

    Junior Witter
    Lovemore N'Dou - W UD 12
    Krzysztof Bienias - W TKO 2
    Salvatore Battaglia - W TKO 2

A lot of people have blindly said that Ricky Hatton doesn't fight anyone, and his level of competition is crap (before the Kostya Tszyu fight)...

Well who out of these lot above, who has a better level of comeptition? It's a simple case of not really knowing???

i think the only guy who can beat hatton is mayweather. but mayweather would have to stay away from hatton, and i think hatton would catch up to floyd sooner or later and probly give floyd a beatdown.

Hatton should be considered #1 at 140. He beat the man so he should be the man.

I think that Cotto and Mayweather would both beat him, Floyd maybe a bit easier, but as of right now Hatton is #1.

I don't think it's as clear as "Hatton owns everyone" but he's certainly the top dog there right now.

So....when Rahman knocked Lewis out, was he the #1 heavyweight at the time?

Hattons been on the top 5 radar for some time now and the 140 climate hasn't really been as cut & dry as the heavyweight scene then.

Everyone knows that KT was the guy to beat at 140, and Hatton did so. Theres nobody else who has done anything more impressive at 140 than beating Tszyu.

KT is at the end of his career and probably won't come back to beat a Hatton or any of these other top guys outside of Gatti IMO. Lewis was most definitely a monster when he lost that Rahman fight and everyone knew that he was still the man. I wonder if anyone honestly picked Rahman to beat him in the rematch.
