May loves money so much, why would he pay a penalty to Marquez if he couldn't make the weight for that fight?

Their clearly doing it because they can. I figure since you don't know Floyd personally and you hate on him you must be a Manny fan cause you aint no boxing fan if you can't appreciate the epitome of the sweet science (PBF).
I've said on numerous occasions I respect his talent. I think he cherry picks and looks for the slightest advantages, rather than fighting legitimate welterweights since he became one in 2005.
You just label anyone who questions him or criticizes him as a hater, when I can simply turn the same argument around and say you're on a grown man's ****....see how that argument works both ways?
I've actually interviewed his uncle (went to dinner with a few other writers) and not the one that trains him, my question to him was "Is Floyd really that much of an *******, or is it all an act"...his response to me "It's not an act"....100% god honest truth.Last edited by switchsouthpaw; 04-13-2010, 05:58 PM.

I've made a few big posts about the whole Mayweather-Mosley thing in a few other threads, so let me just take this angle:
If Shane has enough speed to land, things could be interesting- it's that simple. I know he can box well enough to make Mayweather uncomfortable if he applies good pressure so;
If Floyd starts slow and gets hit with a sharp little punch (like the early KD in the Judah fight that wasn't called- and yes I know it was just his glove that grazed the canvas) it could be a bigger deal. Mosley hits harder, he's a bigger guy than Zab, and he's always been a good finisher. Floyd needs to use that defense; but if he does, Shane can win rounds with activity. Then, if Floyd doesn't want to lose a UD, he's got to box, and that MIGHT leave an opening for Shane.
Who knows if the old guy can use it, though.

So in essence you are saying that Floyd retired(prolonged vacation) after just 3 fights at WW and not only are you saying that but you are also saying that Floyd minus the 21 month lay-off only has a total accumulation of 13 months of WW experience. Not to mention the fact that he ventured into JMW for one fight.
Sooooooo by your logic we have a Boxer who became lineal champ at 147, went up to 154 to snag a belt and then came back down to 147 to defend his lineal championship crown and ended that fight by TKO. Sounds like we have a Boxer on the cusp of being a legitimate ATG by looking at the post you made that this post is in response to.
