    hmm

You're missing the point I was making... "things are very different out there in the big wide world, and people think very differenty about Americans and American fighters"
The only point you made was that we get our ops from the tube. There;s no point there. That's just wrong, ignorant, and insulting. Tank ye very much. That was an insult to me, while we're talking insults, Mr. Morals.

I see from your replies that you're starting to refer to less of my posts each time, missing out more and more of my good points to come back on?

Forget about the television quote then!... It was the least important bit of my post. I just used the TV as an example, what I was trying to explain is that American fighters are seen by the rest of the World as very different to what they are seen as inside the U.S.

And the U.S is probably the most insuler Country in the World. (no insult intended there, it's just the way you're seen). So it comes as no suprise to people outside the U.S to see Americans saying, "Oh if you're fighters that good he'd come to our Country and box infront of us!".

Despite there's more money for these guys outside the U.S.

Hatton took the fight to KT but Hatton definitely received alot of preferential treatment from the ref. He was holding excessively, Hopkins does it but he gets warned for it usually & isn't as blatant as Hatton was in this fight. The low blow was pretty obvious. At certain points of the fight, it looked as if Hatton would nod to the ref when he'd be tangling with KT then after the nod the ref would break them up. I knew KT ws in for it then but didn't expect him to quit like that. Hatton NEEDS to come to the U.S. to stake his claim as the best jr welter in order to solidify his win over KT.

I can't really imagine pressure being put on a big United States born boxing superstar to go and fight in Japan or something, so I don't see why it should be a double standard for Ricky. I am sure that people are going to say that United States is the largest media market and all that, but boxing is also very popular overseas and in the age of cable and sattelite television we can see live events from anywhere. So what I say is, as long as Ricky can get opponents to go to him then he should just keep on doing what he is doing.

Thats what i've been saying for a long time, finally someone from America who share's with my opinions on the location subject.

I'd like to see Hatton fight in the US but i wouldnt really care if he didnt, as long as everyone get to see the fight on TV its all good. As soon as the bell goes its man against man, as long as there is no cheating(like Germany) it should go to the location that can generate more money(which is normally America anyways)

Someone else posted either on another board or here about hometown fighters and how they haven't proven anything until they leave their hometown, and gave Jese James Leija as an example.
I looked up his record, he's from Texas.

Fighting in Texas: 52 wins, 0 losses, 2 draws, 1 no contest
Fighting outside Texas: 6 wins, 7 losses

Hatton needs to get his ass out of England before he can be taken seriously.

I've watch the fight a few times now and i dont see the problem, fighters should only break when they tie each other up, both Hatton and Tszyu were doing great work on the inside so there was no need. Tszyu's a very strong fighter, against anyone else people would be saying he had an unfair advantage.

Hatton is without doubt the number 1 light welter already, he doesnt need to stake his claim. if he goes to America again it will be to give the fans over there a show and to live his dream of fighting in Vegas.

If Leija had of fought the same fighters he did outside texas in texas he still would have lost 7 fights. Stats like that are worthless because he obviously fought better fighters when travelling.

Its two men fighting in a ring, who gives a **** where the ring is!?!?

Boxing is not just about money. I've explained this too many times and you will never get it. Hatton needs U.S. exposure. If you don't see how that would help, your loss.

Anyway I don't have enough evergy to thwart a thoughtless ram like yourself whose rebuttals are set on automatic. Perhaps you should learn to understand my posts. Like I said if you have good points I would note them.

I tried to watch the fight and gave up after the 6th round - too much hugging, rabbit punching and not to mention low blows. The ref was definitely taking care of the hometwon boy - seemed more of an amateur bout than anything else. I would never pay to see this so called champion in the ring.
