It amazes me how some members won't even acknowledge a fighter unless he fights in the States (okay, that's where the money is, but it's an alarmingly US-centric way of viewing things).
What amazes me more is that people can't even see why. Look at the last time an unprecedented European came over for a match with a US (okay, Mexican...) superstar. Felix Sturm got the rough end of Vegas that night. You really expect an underregarded Hatton - a man the US trade papers were giving a "over in less than three rounds" prediction against - would risk that kind of judging?
Saturday night/Sunday morning, and Ricky's an overnight star. Now it's not a case of him wanting big fights and being blown out at the last minute by the likes of Vivian Harris. Now HBO want HIM. Now he can come over as a genuine contender and a robbery against him will be judged accordingly.
Now Ricky can come and see you in the U.S.
