OK, well, Cotto had a Nasty Cut and CLottey injure his hands with Margo.

If you want to make excuses for other fighters and fight, why not for this 2?

You are just a double standar hating *****. Good luck with your trolling!!!!

Actually that is exactly what it means, he is soft in the head so that really limits how good he can be. He has alright abilities but if your mind does not allow you to use them properly you are not really that good and will find wyas to come up short.

Also they say the game is 90% mental, if he is weak on that 90% he would have to be amazing to be really good but to me he is just pretty good.

He is an alright fighter but to me he is nothing special and any decent fighter should beat him, the fight with Cotto ended up being really close because of the cut and it was Cotto's first hard fight after Margarito.

Clottey would make Mayweather run the whole fight with his turtle shell defense if they ever fight.

          Disagree.

Yeah, his mentality limits how good he can be, but it doesn't stop him being a good fighter. Clottey is skilled and physically tough, he's not getting beat by journeymen, he's beating good fighters, losing competitive fights to very good fighters and only getting beat against a great fighter who is a bad matchup for him.

There are what, 1000+ welterweights in the world? Judging by the way you take issue with my use of the word 'good', you must think that even the top 0.1% of a division doesn't neccessarily quality as a good fighter, which is crazy.

Did you hear me not say I didn't buy Clottey's hand injury excuse? He blamed his loss to Pac on having the ****s.

He is alright but he will never beat anyone that is any sort of special, he is a gatekeeper between good and elite, it is possible that he could beat most but he will lose to every elite fighter he sees. His record just does not back up that he is anything special, atleast to me.

He is a notch below Cotto and two notches below Pacquiao I don't really consider that position to be overly praise worthy.

I don't think enough people take that cut into consideration. Especially considering how many fighters we've seen in the recent past quit because of cuts not even close to as bad.

Guerrero, Litzaou, Campbell to name a few.

And also Clottey is a force to be reckoned with against guys who stand in front of him. Mosley would have had fits with Clottey. If you move though and don't allow him to sit down on his punches then he's not the same animal. He's too selective with his punches.
