So the greatest defensive boxer (in my opinion) is so past it by 41 fights?? MMMMM

Quartey wasn't robbed. You should tell him to stay on his feet next time. The 2 knockdowns is what sealed the deal. Also, you don't seem to count the 2 times Oscar was robbed. Double Standard much??
I can't think of any serious boxing fan who thought that version of Chavez would win that fight. And to make matters worse, Chavez went into the fight with a cut. Oscar was too big, strong, and young for the aged Chavez

Who else fought Quartey at WW??

Also , what does that tell you about the so called guys you call "great" now?? Having losses to dudes that don't even get in the HOF.
Chavez was way past his best. He had lost to Randal twice, Whitaker and had his ass kicked for 11 rounds by Taylor.

Whitaker was 2 fights away from retirement. And the win is questionable.

BUT, i give Oscar a lot of credit for all he achieved.

He cant be an ATG with his losses.

          Tito? Mosley?

If you like Oscar fine. But you cant tell me that Whitaker and Chavez were at their peak.
If you like Oscar fine lol. Even people that don't like Oscar admit to Oscar being robbed in those fights.

You guys are a bunch of cavemen. Where is Jrosales for a decent argument???

Its easy to say when the fight already happened years ago.

Oh the cut that his so called son did to him? lol

Do you know anything about boxing? Have you ever seen him fight? Do you know who he fought?

Or have you only been watching boxing since 2007? GTFO of here with this ****, Oscar is one of the greatest of all time, and the best fighter of the 90's and early to mid 2000's.

I'll back it up later when I get home but me and my girl are going to see her dads band.

Go educate yourself on Oscar in the meantime, you should acknowledge his greatness by the time I return if you have half a wit.

LMAO! Roy Jones was the greatest fighter of the 90's.

Didnt this dude get butt ****ed by Felix Sturm?
Yeah but that was at MW man

If Duran is in it, then Oscar has a shot

Oscar in his prime was still very hard to beat

Some of the guys he fought would ruin others if they went through that

ATG is a long shot, but he did real good for me.

I mean Mosely was on drugs

He lost to Tito for ******ity

Some of the others like Mayorga did good after him you know

Hopkins isn't easy for anyone, let alone him going up

He gave a real good account to floyd even when he was out of prime

He had some luck, some bad, but he went through it

I mean name me any fighter form 135 to go up like that and would have a better record than him?

Are you serious? Duran's record at lightweight craps all over Oscar's whole career.
