Haye is the "savior" of the heavyweight division. He saved himself from actually fighting against a real champion to signing a "slave contract" as the Haye Fanagers call it, with Saurland and Don King.

Welcome the savior of the....um......WBA division.

It's like the video in which Haye recently appeared training. People were calling him fat and out of shape. That was not true. He had a bit of fat around his waist, but so what ? His body looked like the one of Tyson at 235. Still looked good.

You have to start to make a big deal about the weight of a fighter when he actually balloons up like Solis, Tua or Peter. Then it can really affect your performances. Five pounds won't affect Haye's performance.
What I get out of this is that he didn't train as hard for this fight and that's got to be a little discouraging if your a Haye fan. Not to say that's he going to lose, but the fact that apparently isn't willing to put in 100% with each fight.

Haye used to struggle to weigh 200 lbs at CW in 2005. He would've been 210 in fight a lot of the time.

So to be 215ish for his last few HW bouts is what 5 lbs heavier in 5 years. I actually thought that was too little.

Haye was 235 lbs in the build up the the Barrett fight at one point, and I was somewhat surprised to see him lose so much come fight night.

He must've been 230+ in the camp for this fight and has trimmed down in to shape, in quite a timely fashion.

I think he's actually taken things quite gradually and well.

i can't stand ruiz, but he looks absolutely superb in his last 2 fights, so, if haye is taking this old man lightly, it could spell trouble... and it could cost haye many many millions...

Haye is not out of shape. And at 6-3, 222 pounds is not overweight. He doesn't even look close to being overweight. The weight will not be a factor in this fight no matter what happens.

He does look a tad softer than at 217 for the Valuev weigh in I spose, but actually looks more grown into the weight.

Haye's only going to gain in weight and just look slightly less ridiculously ripped than what people are used to.

I don't really see how taking on extra weight in the form of fat is "good".

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he trained hard and he still looks better then 90% of the heavyweights out there. All I'm saying is I don't think he put 100% into this fight.
