It would be funny if Floyd just stepped up and went around to all the big name fighters on camera and put his arm around them and put them on the spot about wanting to be a part of showing the people that we are in a clean sport and in order to do that we will corporate with improved drug testing...SMILE

Of course Floyd is doing this for himself but who cares.

On a side note: Say your an athlete and someone that doesn't particularly trust people...wouldn't you be worried someone may put something in your food?
A little sprinkle of ******* on your food or drink?
Maybe some crushed PEDs tablets when you are not looking?
Floyd is anything but an idealist as far as I'm concerned. He does nothing if it doesn't benefit himself.

Your sidenote: Yes. And that's actually a quite common excuse among athletes caught. "There must have been something in my proteinshake." Or worse: "Somebody put roids in my toothpaste. It's a conspiracy!"

The last quote is for real. It was an excuse made by worldclass track star Dieter Baumann....

So thats why the rules are that the athlete himself is responsible for what's in his body, and nobody else.

I cant remember which one it was, possibly Rio Ferdinand (who got a 9 month suspension for "forgetting" to stay behind after training to do the test - he did it the next day and passed but still got a 9 month ban) - he said he wasnt happy about it cos it was very inconvienent but if it had to be done he and all others would have no choice except to comply.

Also, as a side note, isnt it a bit strange that Conte - who could be working in any sport realisitically, chose to work in boxing, where the testing isnt worth a ****?

Great point there, Thats is something that needs to be looked at. Why cant the boxing commission for lets say Nevada employ someone like Victor Conte and use his experties on drug testing.

And yes Rio ferdinand was the player who got ban for not turning up for testing when the testers picked him out randomly at Manchester utd training ground...He got ban for 8 months, Christine ohurogu(name?) Team GB olympic medal winner was also ban for 2 years for missing her test or not telling the tester her whereabouts.

I seem to remember a ridiculous excuse made by one of american sprinter, He or his coach claimed a massauer was to blame for massaging some cream in his athletes legs, I cant remember the sprinters name but he's very famous and this was like 4 or 5 years ago.

Well...don't people do everything to benefit themselves in one form or another. Even helping others is a form of helping yourself.

Sidenote: I'm not saying athletes don't use excuses because they do. And I’m in favor of the testing. But I'm saying it is still possible to to make someone ingest something they unknowingly consumed; and because of that, it has to be worrisome for an athlete on some level. Just imagine if there is an athlete that is innocent but somebody wants to **** with him…it isn’t that hard. It would mean that if you are worried about it, for those years as a top level athlete….do your own shopping, do your own cooking, don’t eat out, don’t trust anybody around you which means live alone…drink from only closed bottles…and so on. Once your found guilty, your ****ed. Although money I guess can help on some level for comfort.

I haven't heard that one, but I can give another awful one.

After being caught Tour De France superstar Tyler Hamilton said that his high hormone level was due to the fact that he had his unborn twin in his tommy.

Eddie Chambers also uses Victor Conte. I find it ironic that a fighter like pacquiao who has zero connection to anything steroid related & has no evidence against him is being thrown under the bus publicly yet you have 2 fighters using products, services, & expertise of Victor Conte & you dont hear a peep about them.

Then you have the abraham vs dirrell taking place in michigan, where they did not do a drug test & where dirrell refused a urine test after the fight, yet people were blasting pacquiao & his urine tests & the fact that there was no testing in texas vs clottey.

Where's the outrage for Andre Ward & Eddie Chambers? Where's the outrage for Andre Dirrell REFUSING TO TAKE A URINE TEST? Where's the outrage for the fight not having steroid tests?

Or does it only apply to non american fighters because according to floyd they cant be trusted?

              Talk about double standards.

actually its not a price you have to pay. professional athletes dont undergo wada ost. not nba, mlb, & nfl players. Not boxing either.

Its the price floyd paid because he was a insecure conceited little beyotch. Pac aint hurting for money, floyd is.

that is not gonna fly with professional athletes.

thank you. that's why they dont have wada ost in the nba, mlb, & nfl. You cant dictate the personal lives of athletes who are creatures of habit & have different time schedules to train, workout, study film.

IMHO...all of boxing needs better testing not just super fights.
This does makes it look funny but these guys tht u named have not a) refused random blood testing b) moved up in weight knockin bigger guys out. They aren't good reason to thk some1 is on roids but thats why Pac gets looked at more bcuz he refused. The reason its the super fight is bcuz those type of fight gerenate the $$$ to pay for the testing that no one wants to pay for. Now ur whole Pac isnt around any ppl known for roids is wrong...Roach was James toney's trainer when hen failed and Ariza...there are stories where they say he worked with Conte but i dont have the links so lets stick with Roach...or Bob Arum who claims to knw that ODLH failed test too and Bob is Pac boss now. So Bob and Roach thats 2 ppl right there.
