Really? That's news to me. I thought that scheme was only employed by the UCI (Pro cycling).

Do they sanction the athletes if those whereabouts are not provided?

You get three strikes and after that an athlete can gets ban for minumum 2 years if they refuse to disclose there whereabouts.

Especially out of competition testing, Thats why am all for it happening in boxing.. You get tested even when you dont have a fight randomly.

Those rules are exactly those employed by the UCI.

Who's subject to these rules under WADA? I highly doubt it works for non-olympic sports.

WADA's testing is easily beatable regardless of it being random and year-round as you say. Most importantly they cannot test you if they cant find you so as long as the athletes don't supply an up-to-date where-about scheme you can easily beat the procedure.

Pretty sure there are penalties which includes a automatic failed test if you miss 1 or more visits. Not positive on the rules but they are strict.

All tests are beatable. So why bother?

This goes with those that say they should just give in and allow PEDs to be used.

And if it is easy to beat, then it is OK to suspect EVERYBODY of using...especially those that aren't in favor of getting the strictest test possible/improving the system to catch and/or deter cheaters.

So now, you have every right to accuse someone of cheating and it is up to the athlete to now prove he is innocent. The athlete must take a stand to prove he is clean. Favoring whatever testing they throw at him would be a sign he is at least trying to prove something.

Year Round, Random, Unannounced testing with both blood and urine...and if they want to do hair...sure...throw that in there. Those that ran the testing for Cycling did with Armstrong.

Some think Armstrong has to be cheating. Now that is something because if he is, which is a possibility, and he is beating the tests they are given him...it does show the athlete is always one or more steps ahead of the testers.

Boxing would have to follow the strictest testing standards out there. That's what I'm in favor of. That's why I'm not throwing Victor Conte away and think they should gather all those that cheated the system and got away with it piled in a room and lay all the guidelines they used to beat the test so that the testers can improve on it. Plus, maybe have some of the athletes stay in the game as spies to give them a heads-up.


And I think it’s only going to get worse. Wait until Genetic engineering is in full effect. Then we can just throw out testing because it will just take humans into another level of evolution. And instead of cheating it may be called "improvement" of human beings.

And maybe, just maybe, if humans do evolve for the better, Boxing will be gone. We will become One big Spiritual evolved unit that leaves such things behind. Then again, I watched that new Star Trek movie...yeah...and they still fight in the future to protect themselves so....tree-huggers can kiss my ass because it's not a reality I think is likely. I was a little worried good old fashion sex was going to be eliminated as well but thankfully it still seems to be going good...although I'll be long gone by then.

All this steroid talk with Pacquiao & Mayweather, people have forgotten that there is actually a boxer who is using the godfather of steroids in american sports Victor Conte?

Andre Ward still to this very day uses products created by Victor Conte founder of BALCO, the most prominent & infamous steroid manufacturer in american sports history. Eddie Chambers also uses Victor Conte. I find it ironic that a fighter like pacquiao who has zero connection to anything steroid related & has no evidence against him is being thrown under the bus publicly yet you have 2 fighters using products, services, & expertise of Victor Conte & you dont hear a peep about them.

Then you have the abraham vs dirrell taking place in michigan, where they did not do a drug test & where dirrell refused a urine test after the fight, yet people were blasting pacquiao & his urine tests & the fact that there was no testing in texas vs clottey.

Where's the outrage for Andre Ward & Eddie Chambers? Where's the outrage for Andre Dirrell REFUSING TO TAKE A URINE TEST? Where's the outrage for the fight not having steroid tests?

Or does it only apply to non american fighters because according to floyd they cant be trusted?
