nah I wasnt. Thats why I said even in real life. Im just saying that its not always that black & white that more weight equals more power or even powerComment

DLT, you might be talking about ppl who don't train.thats not always true my man, even in real life. Have you ever met a person who was like 6ft 220 pounds and built like all muscle but now they are older and they are 300 pounds. That guy is much weaker than he was at 220. The 220 pound guy would beat his ass in any event. Everyone is different and its all about how you move up in weight
Tua was referring to ppl who train and fight for a living.
The key is that when you move up, at the least, you don't get weaker.
It just looks like that because your opponents can handle punches better.Comment

its too simple a concept to understand yet the *****s refuse to listen to it. Why? because they cant hate on pacquiao anymore. You don't get weaker by gaining weight and/or muscle. Especially since you're not cutting/losing as much to make weight.
You get stronger and punch harder when you go up. At worst you don't gain power but you certainly don't lose power.
The guys at the higher weight classes just has a higher punch resistance than those in the lower weight classes.
Common sense. You gain muscle , you are bigger , you don't have to cut as much or diet as much to make weight equals you punch harder , even if only a little.
Unfortunately , the guys in the higher weight divisions can take a punch better as well so it depends on how much power you gain by moving up in comparison to how much more punch resistance your opponent has in your new weight division.
this whole myth about nobody moves up in weight & knocks out people has been debunked several times.Comment

This is obvious and goes without saying.
Which Is why said that at 130 Floyd would KO JMM. He hit harder, had more speed, was more explosive and more aggressive.Comment

how can he not hit as hard getting bigger? cutting less weight?
at worst he didn't gain much power. you can't lose power.
if you want to talk about say maybe floyd's hand injuries being a cause that's possible.
don't say floyd doesn't hit as hard as he got bigger and stronger.Comment

Right but that is cuz at 140 he is fighting bigger opponents who take the punches better. So meaning with the extra weight will he be able to hit harder.
Is like Edwin Valero at 140 or 147 will still KO 130 or 135 fighters. However, would he carry his power enough to KO 140 or 147 fighters?Comment
