Fighters don't lose punching power by going up in weight.

You don't get weaker by gaining weight and/or muscle. Especially since you're not cutting/losing as much to make weight.

You get stronger and punch harder when you go up. At worst you don't gain power but you certainly don't lose power.

The guys at the higher weight classes just has a higher punch resistance than those in the lower weight classes.

Common sense. You gain muscle , you are bigger , you don't have to cut as much or diet as much to make weight equals you punch harder , even if only a little.

Unfortunately , the guys in the higher weight divisions can take a punch better as well so it depends on how much power you gain by moving up in comparison to how much more punch resistance your opponent has in your new weight division.

This thread is for dumbass Burner who thinks Floyd is a weaker puncher at 147 than he is at 130.

Floyd is not weaker at 147. His opponents at 147 can take punches better that his opponents at 130.

      I agree.

Pac didnt carry his carry his power with him as he moved up.

And Floyd did carry his power as he moved.

well thats not always true. some guys dont really gain as much muscle as they do fat and they look flabby which could make you weaker but for the most part you are right

Some guys do not carry the weight as well so they are slower.

But generally take a guy at say 147. When he moves up to 154 , he'll punch harder even if it's only slightly.

The difference is though the guys at 154 can take punches better as well.

well now IDK if I agree with you because I think you are acting like Pac is the norm and I dont agree with that. I think most guys are like Floyd in that they dont hurt people as much when they move up

                Exactly.....

Pac carried his power up with him. Thats obvious. So basically Tua saying everyone Floyd fought at the lower weights had bad chins....lmao.

Floyd had power in both hands at the low weights. As he moved up he lost that power.

not carrying your power to a higher division is NOT the same thing as being weaker in the higher division.

you don't punch softer because you move up. your opponents can take punches better as you move up.

                  get it now?

                  dumb truck.

it depends, if u put on too much muscle u can lose way more speed than u gain strenght and also lose the shoulder snap which is key to punching with explosive power. u become more heavyhanded but less explosive.

i see alot of new guys in the amateur ranks bulking up way too much and losing all the snap behind their punches, they can still hurt u on accumulation but they lose all their one punch KO power training like bodybuilders.

thats doesnt apply to floyd though.
