And Walcott waited for Ali to go to a neutral corner (as he should) before counting Liston. Sonny gets up, they continue fighting, then the timekeeper tells him Sonny is out, so he ends the fight.

Meanwhile Liston was waiting the whole time for Ali to go to a neutral corner. Another shady situation.
The video was my answer. I don't have to say anything. It's right there for everybody to see you once again tried to fabricate the history of a fight. To compare the Klitschko-Brewster situation to Ali-Liston 2 is clearly ignorant.

Less than 3 1/2 years as a pro? In his prime?

      You're delusional.

Did the shoulder he threw out in kicking the hell out of Byrd require surgery after the fight?

Did he or did he not go down AFTER the bell?

Nope. Liston wasn't dropped until the second Ali fight, and most people thought he took a dive. The only other time he was off his feet was years later when he was old and washed up.

I said Ali was not in his prime for the first Cooper fight.

And yes, I think Ali improved considerably after the first Liston (an old, inactive Liston, remember?) fight. Plus Vitali hardly had the amateur background that Ali had, no comparison really.

show me one fight ali was better than in 64, dont come up with the cleveland williams fight, williams was the one who was REALLY shot, not just a phrase to define the condition of old boxers.
he had still the bullet of a magnum 357. in his body when he fought ali in 66.

and yes, any1 who followed what u have wrote in this thread knows u owned yourself with the " was just pro for 3 1/2 years " comment.

Dream on son, next you'll be telling me Saul Alvarez is prime, and he's been a pro over 4 years.

And no one in their right mind would argue that Wlad was prime when he fought Puritty, or that he wouldn't have easily won had it been a 10 rounder.

I think Ali would edge it, but I'd be very nervous if I had the house on it. The KO power is defo in the Klits favour.

Wasn't Ali a gold medalist in the Olympics?
                      yes, at light heavyweight.
vitaly didnt had the chance, he got busted when he tried to cheat.
but as far as i know vitaly had a kickbox career, so he had experience in fighting, and your post was only about experience before turning pro, or not ?

and dont forget wladimir also won a gold medal, still didnt change the fact he got KTFO against a c class fighter like what was his name again ??.
