If size was all that important, Valuev would have beaten Haye. Klits are both slow, esp of foot. Ali isnt small, 82 inch (or 84) reach, blistering hand and foot speed.

Liston was a beast and had a huge size and strength advantage over Patterson. But it's fairly common knowledge that he was old and inactive when he fought Ali.

A young Ali would have speed the Klitschko's have never seen before. Vitali would never get close and Wlad would be in danger against a guy that did 15 rounds easily. Ali had one of the best chins of all time and faced a much, much greater level of competition as well. But when it comes down to it Ali, even when the cards were against him, found a way to win.
