How can boxing ever be a big sport when it's considered a paid for privilege for only 600,000 out of 300 million people in the country to be able to see Pacquiao barely break sweat against a guy who just held his gloves up for 36 minutes?
its ****** thursday in Orange County today Jiddu? re-read your post a few times and tell me if it makes sense...read the part where 800K is 'terrible' for ppv numbers with little hype
why? because the ego bloats and when PBF-Shane hit their numbers, more egos bloat...the purse split becomes an issue again
When was it ever an issue before? They both agreed to 50/50 before. If the money is there I'm sure they will agree to it again.

They were stuck at 24 and 14. 19 is right in the middle, and they walked away... only to do a 19 day blood test with Clottey.
"The two sides went back and forth, negotiating over the blood tests, agreeing to do them, but ultimately they were unable to agree when the testing cutoff date should be. Mayweather asked for a 14-day cutoff. Team Pacquiao wanted it to be 24 days. This writer was told by a source close to the Pacquiao camp that the final offer was 20 days. Despite the efforts of a mediator brought in to help matters along, the fight died on the vine. Pacquiao filed a defamation lawsuit against Mayweather and went off to fight Joshua Clottey at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas and Mosley vs. Mayweather came to fruition."

I read a week ago that somebody close to the negotions said Top offered a 20 day cutoff date and it got turned down. However, I am not sure how true that story is. I think if that was the case we would of heard something a long time ago.
I am not sure why top rank didn't say 19 day cutoff. However, i also think by that time both sides were already getting fed up with each other.
