That is an impossible scenario given the promoters.

I do remember Floyd coming out and saying if we do bigger numbers, 50-50 won't work. But Pacs camp can compare there 50k attendance vs. their 15k attendance.

Regardless, when they went into negotiations in December.. at that point Floyd outsold Pac with Oscar, 2.5 to 1.25(trying to remember specifics), with Hatton 1.8 to 800k, and with Marquez 1 million to 300k... and Floyd STILL went in there agreeing to 50-50, when he didn't have too.

I remember Ellerbe saying we checked out egos at the door because they realize how big fight is.

Some of those ppv numbers might be off by a small margin.. cant remember the EXACT #'s but they are close.
Love that quote. They tried really hard to get that fight.

I dont think that the PPV numbers for both Floyds and Manny's fight are a particularly meaningful factor in relation to what they should split should they fight. A fight between them would blitz all records anyway,as despite the fact its not signed, its getting the longest and most controversial publicity drive of any fight I can recall.

You have to take everything into account.

Such as no 24/7 and Joshua Clotteys pulling power.

              It's a huge success actually.

how much do y'all think the power outage in several areas of the east coast (some parts of New York and Northern New Jersey where there's a lot of Filipinos) affected the PPV buys? (less 25Ks, less 50Ks?)

I really don't think theres a way to determine even a guestimation of that...

It would be a sucess but them not having a 24/7 is all on Arum he went the cheap route and gave it a ****ty countdown so if it suffers because of that. Its his fault.

It would actually be closer to happening because Floyd would see Pacman's drawing power, meaning more money for him and anyone else involved. More money means he can compromise a little more.. more compromise means the fight is closer to happening.

Also Team Pacquiao isn't taking the fight for anything less than 50/50 so the better the pacquiao clottey fight does, the more justified that split would be.
