Sad thing is "The Event" will only hinder the ratings of the Shane/Floyd fight. With that fight being so soon after Pac/Clottey, most casual fans will say "I'm not wasting another $60 on a fight that ends up being a snore fest, I just wasted $60 bucks on that boring Pac fight" That's how casual fans are, who are sadly the majority of of people paying for these ppvs. It takes them a long time to forget.

this is obvious. two very well-known american boxers fighting with a 24/7 promotional series will definitely spell a windfall in US PPV buys.

Well it shows that whenever A-side fighter sell millions in PPV its also because of their B-side opponents. This would still be good numbers considering Clottey's status in within boxing, I had a few argument in november that Pac didnt do 1.4 million buys on his own against Cotto and i was prove right.

I can vouch for what you're saying here. I'm one of those casual fans and dammit! I got ripped off twice now!

                Never, ever, again.

this is the dumbest reasoning ive ever come across...

thats why you *****s need to start paying for PPV instead of streaming it for free. Dont worry, mosley will sell more than 800k.

If there is over 800k, that is good news.

                    700k is was I thought.

1million would be more of a surprise than Floyd-JMM for me, well not really but I don't expect a millie
