You guys hate Berto so much that you'll give him absolutely no props for beating Quintana, but if he loses to him he was garbage. I think that's the best win on Cotto's resume because of the fashion he beat him in.

What are you talking about, he'll get credit. I'm just simply stating a fact....Quintana has been inactive as hell, and has been at 154 cause he said he can't make 147.

Let's leave their personal lives out of it. I'm discussing what happened in the ring. Both Clottey and Cotto did about the same amount of damage to Pac, which is very little. Clottey has a better defense than Cotto, yes, but he used it to hide, not to protect himself WILE ENGAGING in the fight.

I thought the Cotto fight was very exciting, as most others did. I actually fell asleep during the fight watching Pac just throwing punch after punch after punch, while Clottey remained in his "fortress".

Pac was very, very active as always, and relentless. But against what? He kept trying to find a hole to punch through the entire fight. Clottey did land a very few good punches, just like Cotto did. At least Cotto was fighting the 1st 4-5 rounds, and like I said, there was 1 point when i actually had hopes he might win. I never, once got that impression during the Clottey fight.

But then again, i knew Pac was going to win before they even fought. Pac is a phenomena. Pac has the killer instinct coupled with a sheer love of fighting. Clottey is a good boxer, but also an under-achiever that just doesn't have the motivation or hunger anymore. At least Cotto did at one time. Undefeated until his fight with Margo.

That's a dam good stretch of wins, however you feel about the guy, which is obvious and i know you don't care. We have different opinions and people can see the same thing very differently, so we just agree to disagree.

IMO, i think Cotto did alot more damage to Pac than Clottey did. But then again, Cotto was more engaging and weren't afraid to get hit or take a chance. It wasn't till later that Cotto began to be more cautious. I'm sure Clottey could've damage or hurt Manny more or even had a chance to KO Manny, if only he wasn't too afraid to engage or afraid to take a chance and he was too defensive minded. And yes, the Cotto fight was alot more exciting and entertaining, this one with Clottey was a sleeper, not Manny's fault, but regardless, it was boring.

Clottey never ran. He stood infront of Pacquaio and took 1230 shots. He lost bad, but what did people think, that all of the sudden he would have Paul Williams like workrate? He feeds off countering when an opponent stops, but thats a little difficult when one guy is throwing 20 shots at a time.

But savor why do you say pathetic attempt? Clottey stood infornt of him the WHOLE time, and walked him down. Would it have been less pathetic if he were to run away due to having no defensive skil to block shots with lafter the 4th round and get get beaten up while running and throwing even less than he did in the later rounds?

As for Lampley I still haven't seen the HBO version of this fight yet just converting it to avi atm so I can watch it on my 360/PS3, but he used to be heavily on Cotto's nuts in his fights including the early stages of the Pacquiao one

Steward was just as bad, if not worse. He dissed Cotto quite a few times during the Clottey-Cotto fight. I kept thinking to myself, "man, i woulda bitched slapped Steward after the fight."
