This thread is bull****. Hopkins wants to move up to winner of Tarver/Johnson to finish his career and he's said so. He doesnt need to fight Wink.

I like Winky but he isnt in Hopkins league yet a few more solid fights and then we will see. Hopkins can make good money on his next fight without having to fight someone who doesnt deserve a shot yet.

B-Hop/Taylor is set now. Winky wasn't anything until a couple weeks ago.

There's more money to be made elsewhere.

HE'S BORING! No one wants to see a guy jab everyone to death, except the most hardcore boxing fans. The largest majority of people who watch the fights are NOT hardcore fans, they are casual fans. They want to see Tyson tear someone's head off, not Winky jab for 12 rounds.

I like Winky, and enjoy watching him fight, but the average person doesn't.

Winky beat Mosely..at middleweight..which..is too entirely impressive..but he did dominate Tito..but BOTH of them werent true middleweights. Lets see him fight some good true middleweights before we claim Winky as a "star".
Didn't he fight Mosely at Junior Middleweight?

If money was REALLY the issue. He would have been fighting Calzaghe overseas. Didnt he get offered damn near 8 figures for that. Then ppl will say 6Mil is not enough but 10mil is?? whatever. I thought what was important to Hopkins (besides the money) is his legacy. Just fight the best. Thats all.
