going into that fight, it was PAC that had no business fighting at WW...a weight he had never fought at...

Oscar didn't go to PAC two days before the fight saying 'im changing it to 150lbs...here's some extra cash'

No Cotto was going to walk if the fight was at 145 and had the title on the line. He said Pacquiao could fight him at 145 without the title on the line or at 147 with the title on the line or he'd walk. The WBO said they would strip Cotto if he didn't comply with the catchweight and title defense and Cotto said he'd happily turn in the belt. A few days later he had a change of heart.. WONDER WHY???

He knew what he was getting. I don't see what's complicated about believing that Arum threw Miguel some extra cash to not walk. Money is the first thing that's talked about in negotiations so Cotto knew damn good and well what his purse split was.

            Move on.
            JMM was a tune up?

I remember Floyd was promoting this as a superfight against the no #2 pound for pound fighter in the world.

Crikey. Yes he did. This is old news, but I guess it beats steroid threads.

There's a difference---Delahoya came in weight based on the ONLY contract made with Pacquiao....unlike Mayweather who had to make a second one to make the fight happen...Mayweather never planned on making weight.
