How you can consider Ruiz 'the greatest' and Lewis not very, very good has to be total bias and/or hate toward Lewis. That alone is a complete contradiction.
I always said Lewis got skills though I dont care for his style. Ruiz is no legend but he could be since he is only 33 and the division is weak. Maybe not legend but he can be a hall of famer is he makes more groundbreaking accomplishments. Like if Toney still had the belt and Ruiz came back to win it a 3rd time, that'd put him up there with a handful of HWs to ever do that. Or if Golota wins this fight tomorrow then if theres a rematch to unify with Ruiz, then Ruiz could hold two belts, another first for latino HW.

Lewis ruled a weak division all I'm saying.

Tyson is still "walking now" because he has the longevity of Ruiz...he never seems to leave the ring whether you want him to or not, the difference being Ruiz actually wins title fights.

And dont tell me Ruiz got a suspect chin. Everyone knows Ruiz gets beat the crap out of him in most of his fights yet still manages to fight on. Tua was a one time incident...has it happened since? No.
And I know it?? Please, justify why youre right all you want, and why Ruiz is the gift to boxing all you want, and that Lewis was a joke all you want, but DONT tell me what I know! I know that youre grasping straws and splitting hairs, and nobody is buying it but you. Lewis was a great man, fighter and champion. Those are the facts. Just cause youre so hooked on ruiz (of all people) and hate Lewis, or whatever, doesnt mean you can have it all 'both ways'...come on man.

How's Lewis "a great man"? What's he done outside the ring?

Compare Lewis official photo album here: http://lennoxlewis.allsportgallery.co.uk/

to Ruiz official photo album here: http://www.johnquietmanruiz.com/gallery/index.php

Lewis is all about him being a self-worshipping ego maniac. His pics are all about how great he thinks he is and dont show anything about himself as a person to his fans. He just tells them "look at how great I am".

Compare that to Ruiz who 2/3 of his pics show him and his family and closest friends. He shows moments that mean a lot to him and shares them with his fans. He actually opens himself up to people he doesnt even know. He's just a better person and the better man outside the ring than Lewis.

great fighters train 24/7,365days a year, ray leonard, pryor, hagler, hearns, george foreman, ali, holmes, chavez, these guys trained every day, hard..there wasnt any ****ing around. hagler easily being the most dedicated.
Ricky boy set's a blistering pace for 3 minutes of all 12 rounds! He never turns up out of shape... That's what matters. People's bodies are different, different training methods work for different fighters.

That is a very ignorant comment... I come from the UK but do you know where my family line come from? What has Ricky Hatton being "White" got to do with anything? D'you know what religion I am? I like Ricky Hatton because 1. His character. We need more honest, intelligent, good guy's like Ricky Hatton in the Sport. (Unlike Juiced up Toney's!). 2. how they fight - I would say Ricky Hatton is possibly the most exciting fighter in the World at the moment... Name me another fighter that can sell 25,000 seats every fight! His body punching all out aggresive style is VERY exciting! 3. Have a look at the WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO rankings and see where Ricky is. He's there because he fought Michael Stewert (not too shaby for Shamba), Ray Oliviera (Beat Vivian Harris) Tackie shortly after both Tszyu and Mithcell beat him... And Ricky has got himself into a mandatory position!

ps- the elephant ****ing the van was one of the best avvies ive seen in awhile, shoulda left that up
I don't understand this last one?.. You're copying my posts?

            - I genuinly believe that Cotto is the Best 140lb fighter today, And this is coming from a BIG Ricky Hatton fan!

I'd favour Cotto over any fighter at 140lbs, yep that includes both Mayweather and Tszyu!

And the Corley fight was the BEST thing that could have happened to him... He know's he's not invinsable now, and he dealt with adversity in excellent style. He didn't panic... He just took his time to clear his head.

            - As I stated above... I think Miguel Cotto is the best 140lb fighter in the World today. (And this is coming from a Ricky Hatton).

I never have, and would NEVER say that Kostya Tszyu is just a paper champ!

He's in my top 10 P4P list!!! But "YES" ... I have rated Cotto above him, and by doing that, I think that Cotto would beat him.

            AND...

I'm gonna stand out on a limb - But I reckon Cotto is the BEST at 140lbs.

I don't think he was exposed by Chop Chop, in fact... I think that fight has made him stronger, I believe he'll now realise that he's not invinsible, and will be a little more carefull coming in throwing the big shots.

I was also VERY impressed with the way that he dealt with adversity... (Yeah I know, Corley did a **** job of trying to finish him when he had him hurt).

I think Cotto would be too BIG and too STRONG for Mayweather, and Cotto would get out-boxed etc at the begining, but Cotto would catch up with Mayweather and stop him from rounds 7-11.

That's my opinion, but the way I see it, If Corley was able to hurt Mayweather then Cotto will DEFINATLY be able to hurt Mayweather!

Personally I think that Mayweather shouldn't be fighting at 140lb, he's too small!... He'd be the king if he moved back down to Lightweight.

            What's your point?

Oh thats easy...he didnt sully and soil the sport by being a wife beating, crowd intimidating thug. He has more class in his little finger than most of the fighters combined. He didnt have to give to charity, save the dolphins and lower the gas prices to be a 'great man'. Just having some class and knowing how to behave in public qualify him for that.

Oh, not beating your wife qualifies you for being "a great man"? Wow we have lowered the bar for role models today! He may not have given two ****s about anyone other than #1 but hey at least he got "class"!

For me it was the April 6 televised (free!) showing of Leonard-Hagler on ABC's "Wide World of Sports". At this point in his career of ass-whoopin', Hagler was fighting once a year, but had KO'd Hearns, Mugbi and then picked Leonard.

The fight has great meaning because it was the last we saw of Hagler, but also because ihis departure was the end of an era, Man. When have we seen anything in boxing as exciting as that, for free! The 80's spoiled every fight fan, even a kid like me.
