All the old guy's in the pub that know everything about everything were saying, "Tyson will KILL! Lewis"... And I just said, "care to put your money where your mouth is?"... Of course they couldn't back down coz' of their pride... And I cleaned up!

    ... LOL!...

did you see the Legenday nights episode about Lewis-Tyson? Manny Steward hit the nail on the head when he talked about the "word on the streets" was that "yo man, Mike is back, he's just too much man for Lennox"....those were the EXACT sentiments of about 80% of my buddies who came by for the fight, I was giving 2 to 1 odds to everyone (either my $10 vs. your $5, or my $20 vs. your $10), and I think I made close to 100 bucks, which paid for the keg

Yep... That sounds about right!... But everyone in boxing circles knew it was a little bit of a miss-match.

          Example:

For me it has to be Lennox Lewis vs Hasim Rahman II, because I've always been a huge Lennox Lewis fan, and I felt like Rahman stolen those belts off Lewis in South Africa.

The re-match couldn't have gone better, not only did Lewis prove his point - (That HE was the BEST heavyweight in the World), he did it in devistating fashion.

          How about you lot?
I agree with you about Lewis for sure. And after that (in order of importance to me anyway) it would be Tarver-Jones 2, cause I still think that at best Jones deserved a draw in their first fight. As for the fight that meant the most to me 'recently' it would easily be the Morales-Pacquiao match up. Erik needed that win, and an impressive win at that after losing to Barrera. The fact that Barrera had recently been completely dismantled by Pac made Erik's victory even sweeter. A great fight, and a great win for Erik !

Hagler vs. Hearns, it was the first ppv fight I saw and probabaly one of the best. This fight made me take notice of the lower wight divisions.

It's funny that... Coz' actually enjoyed the Morales -v- Pacquiao fight more than the Corrales -v- Castillo fight.

Morales -v- Pacquiao was awesome!... (We already knew it about Morales) - But Pacquiao showed the World what a warrior he can be that night!

Yeah I mean, how did Lewis prove himself? Beating a shot Holyfield? A shot Tyson? The latter ironically being the highlight acheivement of his career? Wow, whats that say about Lewis since Danny Williams also has a Tyson KO highlight. All the great fighters of the 1980s and early 1990s were retired or shot, and when the only really promising fighter in Vitali began to come into the seen, Lewis was quick to retire after a controversial stoppage where Vitali was beating Lewis.

Lewis' legacy is rightfully questioned because he is unproven.

Oh yeah, Pac definately stayed tough and hung in there! Morales was just way too much for him. Theres no shame really in losing to Morales for Pac though cause many have, and I'm sure many more will before he retires
