Cotto has a much more powerful and assertive jab though. He's a much different fighter than Floyd, and I don't believe you can really compare Cotto to Mayweather. Besides the point, that fight was very close. However, if Cotto tried to throw potshot left hooks and right hands, I don't think he'd be very successful. Mosley would win. I don't think Mayweather really can use a jab at the elite level against Mosley. Shane has more reach than Mayweather too, which means Mayweather would have to even step in with the jab sometimes. That's dangerous.
I think that Mosley out of all of the fighters in the world are of the best to deal with a boxer. EVERYBODY has problem with movement, duh. That's why karate guys just break wood pieces that don't move. I believe that the judging system in boxing has to be reworked, or at least the rules. The only way Mayweather wins this fight is if Mosley initiates the action for a boring fight.Comment

Yeah, he had been struggling to make weight for years and killed himself to get down for his last two bouts at 147. And was only willing to have a rematch at a higher weight - and moved up immediately after Oscar.
Also, Winky didn't circle and jab; he hasn't done that for years. Winky walks you down and jabs, which is what he did against Tito. Oscar did the exact opposite. I mean, exact.Comment

I feel the same way but i still feel like mayweather win's but just not easyThe Tito that fought Oscar was drained as hell. Furthermore, I can't imagine Floyd fighting Tito like Oscar did because that's ******. And Oscar paid the price in the latter rounds - when he went from moving a whole lot to just running. He had to. Floyd doesn't fight that way and wouldn't fight that way.
Second, how can you say Floyd would do what Oscar did and then say he'd do what Winky did? That's two totally different styles of fighting. I mean, as different as different can be. Which one is it?
Anyway, Floyd would give Tito hell, hell, hell. That said, a prime Tito was an underrated boxer with dynamite in both fists. And was relentless. I think asking Floyd to beat him at 147 may be a little too much, to be honest. Pound for pound, Money May takes it handily but here is a case where size matters. Hard for me to pick right now.Comment

I thought Tito won the fight. I thought Tito swept the last 4 rounds and I gave him the benefit of the doubt in a rounds that I felt was swing rounds in the first 8 rounds. I had it 115-113 for Tito...
But, Tito was drained in 1997 he moved up to 154 and fought Troy Walters I think? And, was on a collision course to have mega fight with Terry Norris. That was going to be a big fight at the time. however, at the end of the year Norris lost to Keith Mullings. And, Tito big payday at 154 was done so he went back down to 147 to get Oscar. He literally starved himself to make 147 for a year and a half...Comment

I thought Tito won as well but anyone who cries "robbery" about that fight is...ugh. It was a close fight. Everyone at ringside had it one or two points in either direction, including Oscar cheerleader Harold Lederman. And quite frankly, Oscar didn't deserve to win. Not the way he fought.I thought Tito won the fight. I thought Tito swept the last 4 rounds and I gave him the benefit of the doubt in a rounds that I felt was swing rounds in the first 8 rounds. He really was, a prime Tito used had a hell of a jab and went to the body effectively. You could catch Tito cold early in the fights and he would suffer those flash KD's but when he got going a prime Tito was good a slippin, ducking, avoiding punches. Now I am not saying he had great defense. But, he could slip punches and had solid boxing skills. His boxing skills became underrated because later in his career he felt in love with his power IMO. And, forgot about his boxing skills...The Tito that fought Oscar was drained as hell. Furthermore, I can't imagine Floyd fighting Tito like Oscar did because that's ******. I also agree that it is unfair for Floyd match up against other ATG WWs. This is Floyd 4 weight-class. Floyd weight-class was 130 where he was an absolute beast. And, mathching him up in fantasy fights against the elite true WWs in the past might be too much. Tito would be a wholde different animal then Floyd has ever faced above 140. Now saying all that I still think is a toss up fight. But, I don't think is a sure win for Floyd like some posters on here do...Comment
