Sweat Pea, Ray leonard, and almost all the modern "slick" fighters took apart of willie's game an implemented in theirs. They have all have stated this in several interviews and there have been documentaries and numerous boxing insiders who co-signed this. Anyone who knows anything knows Pep was the "father" of this slick style of boxing.
LMFAO. Boxing was around before Willie Pep was born.....hahaha.

You are wrong. Boxing is literally ONE of the oldest forms of competition period. Let me school you kid. I had a college paper on this.

Boxing dates back to as early as 1500 B.C. my dude. The**** was seen on the walls in Egypt among many places.....lol.

In the Greek Ancient Olympics it was one of the sports, they wrapped leather strips around they hands to use as gloves.

So since boxing is that ****ing old how can you say Willie Pep INVENTED the slick style? How? You dont ****ing know every boxer. Before Pep's grandparents, great , great, grandparents even met, there was boxing. So Im going to go out on a limb and say that he did not invent the "slick" style. Im pretty damn sure there were boxers that fought slick before Pep did...lol.

LOL...And I like Pep. I figured you would say him or Lochhe.

Too add- Your quote that you googled. Says that Leonard and a few others patterned they style after Pep. Maybe true. But to say a WHITE man invented boxing and all blacks copied Pep is ridiculous.

name me a fighter who fought that style before him. Also why is it that all the great slick fighters like sweat p, sugar ray leonard and countless others say that he was the biggest influence on their careers. I mean good god....you are a ****in idiot.

BTW Im still waiting...name me a fighter who was fighting like that before him and also why is it every boxer insider credits him with inventing that style? Please answer those two questions.

Charlie Burley. His career started in 1938. Pep 1940.

                  But you knew that right?

You know one sign that a man is losing an arguement is the fact that he tries to put words in the other person mouth because he can't argue his points.

With that said....I never said Pep invented boxing. I said he was the father of that slick style of boxing. Everyone except new fans like you would know that. BTW I don't google **** because everything I post is straight off the dome.

Burley didn't use that kind of style that Pep used... He was more into taking angles, shoulder roll, giving up half of the body, rolling with punches... While Pep was more of mover type, used the whole ring, used quick footwork... Two different styles...
