Actually there is some truth to that. While I feel Pac has grown more and filled out the WW division more, he was a 135lber frame that just didn't have to really cut weight as much by going into WW. Didn't you hear how they had to give Pac crazy calories and protein shakes everyday just to keep his weight up? He was never a WW when he first campaigned into the WW division. He got lucky Oscar was dead because it helped him put his foot in the door. Then dropping down for Hatton was easy because he was used to going down to 135lbs and below, so it was no big deal for the Hatton bout. Then he just maintained and added alittle more calories and strength work to stick it for the Cotto fight. Not that hard to realize, but *****s think he became superman in that he went from 130lbs to 147lbs in couple years like he was always a midget.

Didn't have **** to do with principle or pride. Basic principle tells us that for the good of the sport of boxing, and on a larger scale, professional sports as a whole, you'd take the test.

The basic principles of pride tell us that you'd take the test just to one up those asked for the test, and silence your accusers.

Pacquiao is nobody's *****............what's wrong with taking the blood tests immediately AFTER the fight....why is that not enough for Floyd?

You really think roids are to an athlete like ****ing spinach is to Popeye, don't you? You don't pop that stuff and jump into the ring/run your race/play the game all juiced up with superhuman strength. What people are discussing here are drugs that help you rebuild tissues faster allowing you to train harder and recover faster, and blood doping that helps stamina. Not that I think Pac is actually on anything, it's just that the whole 'after the fight' testing argument bothers me. If doping were to happen it would happen during training camp, and people much smarter and more qualified than you and me have gone on the record saying there are substances that could be used in training camp that wouldn't be detected by traditional tests weeks later after the fight.

IMO, that was not even the worst schooling pac had. Sasakul gave him a better education than Jmm before he got caught with a huge left.

Floyd had himself to be blamed for making Pacquiao Great, for one, if he didnt retire and fought Dela Hoya in a rematch, then he would still remain number 1, Pacman had so much desire to fight Ricky Hatton, but not DLH, Pacquiao never expect to fight DLH, it was only after Pretty Boy says I quit for a while that this Pacman phenomenon soon rise at its highest level.

Surely at 130 Mayweather would have beaten Pacquiao who lost to Morales once and drew/won SD over Marquez. At 135? Pacquiao looked like a beast but he was only fighting David Diaz so it's hard to hell. 140 and 147 Pac beat up Hatton ODLH and Cotto but if you can pin point the moment Pac became good enough to beat Floyd let me know...

His progression is so strange, haven't seen anything else like it in boxing.
Pretty much agree with your observation. Very hard to pinpoint though. Me, only after he dispatched Cotto did it make me believe he will win over Mayweather. Not much because I still say this is a 50/50 fight. Either a UD potshot win for Pbf or a SD for Pac or late KO for Pac. The thing is after the Cotto fight, I was convinced that he can **** it out with an elite WW. That requires a very good chin and very good power at WW. The speed, stamina, odd-angles combos, etc, have always been there for him.

Chin -- to make sure that he can take the accumulation of accurate potshots from Floyd. to make sure that he can take some shots while going in because IMO, Floyd's handspeed will enable him to get a shot in before pac goes for his combos. I just hope the potshots would not disrupt pac's offensive rhythm.

Power -- To make Floyd tentative in releasing his combos. If he could make Floyd respect his power, Pbf would resort to a potshot galore. IMO, pac have a better shot at this potshotting Floyd rather than the sweet defense-to-combo offense as displayed on the 130 Floyd. A toe-to-toe slugfest though would be much easier for Pac to win.
