    Just saying...
Why is boxing in competition with the UFC. I think a lot of boxer would have elected to do mma if the opportunity was available 20-30 years ago.

This is ******ed. Boxing fans like combat, mma is an extension of that one form of combat.

It's like auto mechanics saying real auto mechanics don't do brakes. Brakes are for *******...lol !!!

To each his own. I love martial arts. I studied the original mma in Jeet Kune Do. I see MMA as something completely different than that though. I personally find MMA boring and see the level of its elite fighters as very low in comparison with boxings elite. I think boxings elite athletes compete at a much higher level which makes it that much more exciting to me. I won't bash someone if they like it. If they think that the quality of their sport comes close to boxing I will respectfully have to disagree. I personally don't see it overtaking boxing in the long run. I don't think it will disappear completely, but I do think the hype has reached it peak and it will gradually fade down quite a bit.

I hate Wandy he's looked as this god like figure but has little to no skill and it's obvious he was off the juice in Japan. Wandy lost almost every time he fought in the U.S. even in his first attempt during his Pride reign.

Wandy is also a complete roid raging *******, he's only nice when somebodies riding his ****.

Bisping took his ko like a man against Hendo so drop that ****. Wandy was totally disrespectful the whole time and always has been.

But he ain't **** without drugs like (Pacman)

And we get the treat of Lidell vs. Ortiz again later in the year? They are beating a dead horse. As soon as Anderson Silva, GSP, and Penn retire, there wont be any reason to watch.
Now that's worth talking about. I think it's Dana White's fault. There are tons of fighters in other org's that are coming up that need to be in the mix (not to mention Jon Jones).

Tyron Woodley - might be the black GSP
                Gregard Mousasi - LHW 2.0
                King Mo - Rampage's successor ?
that's just a few notable names coming up.

Also a lot of these young guys that are losing to The Silva's, Penn's, & GSP's will only improve.

Taking a loss means nothing in MMA just like on the streets you can always avenge yourself.

There are more kids learning wrestling than boxing and 85% of them go nowhere after high school. MMA ain't goin' no where. My question is how many boxer will be trained in MMA gyms being that there are probably more MMA gyms around than pure boxing gyms.

I live in Vegas and MMA gyms are dominating this area. Most boxing gyms have dropped there rates because of this. I pay $35 /month at my pure boxing gym but most the mma gyms charge $150 / month and they are getting it too.

These gyms include Extreme Cotoure, WandFighTeam, Warrior Training Center, Cobra Kai, Tap Out, Xyence.

For me MMA just plain fighting, and it's too fast paced, it never appealed to me. Boxing is disciplined, it's patient, it's got an easy going tempo. There's more skill and technique involved.
