How Can UFC Compete With This

My wife recently brought home the new Ring 2010 Almanac, and on the back cover it has an HBO ad showing Kelly Pavlik, Juan Manuel Marquez, Paul Williams, Miguel Cotto, Bernard Hopkins, Floyd Mayweather, Wladimir Klitschko, Manny Paquiao, Shane Mosley, Vitali Klitschko, Andre Berto, and Chad Dawson. Anyway, what does UFC have that can even try to compete with that lineup?

I guess the sport is dead , UFC took over a long time ago,champions fight champions there.

In boxing one is scared to take a blood test and the other one is scared to fight the one if he doesn't take the blood test.

Boxing is all money now,the fans are being treated like sh**, we can't get the fight we want to see.

Back in the days champions fought champions if you didn't you lose your belt..now days too many sanctions in boxing..the fighters do w/e they want ( the rich fighters such as mayweather,pacquiao or bernard hopkins)

i agree with this post^^^^^^ we live in an advanged age where average joes can turn into worldwide sensations overnight.......UFC is just a fad, Boxing is older than civilisation itself and still going strong

Wow, your ignorant arent you. UFC is a fad... dont you mean MMA? and if you do... i highly doubt that, the UFC just came to Sydney Australia, i tried to get some tickets and 25,000 seats sold in less than 1 hour, and im sure theyve sold close to a mil in PPV's.

The UFC is a brand, and they know how to sell their product and they do it well, they put the fights together the fans want to see, unlike the corrupt money-hungry boxing promotions that exist in the world today. Dont get me wrong, thats just my thoughts on boxing politics, i love the sport and i do pay for the big mainevents when they do roll around, im just unhappy that fighters can duck whoever they want, half the time ppl dont get to see the fights they desire.

And this TS is ignorant to say that Mixed Martial Artists arent technical lol thats laugh. Proof please?

Uh....the UFC or mma in general is not immune to the ails of boxing.

great post i mean very good. Did you know that there is a super six going on right now and that mosley is fighting mayweather, and pavlik is fighing sergio martinez and o yeah boxing is having a fight in dallas cowboy stadium and yankee stadium??? Um also i think the boxing community was treated very well last year and this year is shaping up great too. I don't want to pretened like I know anything about mma or the ufc as a brand. I will say this dana white is a great promoter, but it is what it is some people like boxing some people like mma just leave it. I"m happy being a boxing fan period

how is the sport dead???? When pacquiao made the fight with cotto ufc moved their fight date or it got destroyed one of the two. Also you put ufc best fight against pac vs. mayweather which will happen and ufc fight will get destroyed in ppv and ticket sales. Also there are other fighters too like gamboa, juanma,khan, ward. The boxing is dead quote has been going on for yearssssssssssss if boxing is how i'm going to die i'm going to be living for a very long time.
