Hatton or Cotto.....easy. Hatton because he is a big money fight, and brings lots of fans. Right choice by Floyd.

BTW Im glad you brought this up because this is what seperates a fan of boxing from a fan of a fighter. I have no problems giving non-biased opinons on guys I dislike and/or rivals of my favorite fighter

    FWIW

Hamed is my ***** and I will ride with im to the end. I hate barrera with a pashion but fact is this; Barrera is one of the greatest FW of all time and above Hamed as far as greats in that division.

I have never liked Floyd's attitude since I began following him in 98 but the fact remain is that up until I saw Pac vs Cotto, he had one of the greatest/most dominate performance over another top fighter in his class (corrales) that I have ever seen in recent times. He is also Top 10 one of the most skilled fighters I have even seen since I have been watching boxing.

See its like this.....fans of the sport have no problems given credit where credit is due. Posters like you get on my nerves because you constantly change history to fit an agenda. You also go outta your way to spit ignorate **** just because you don't like a fighter. There are alot of fighters I don't like but I don't try and take away from what they do in the ring. Real Boxing fans don't do that.
What ignorant **** did "i spit"?

Do you give Floyd credit for Marquez? If not then why do you give Clottey credit for Corralles.

Why do you nitpick at EVERY thing Floyd does or fights.

Real boxing fans dont do that.

Hes already signed to fight the Number 1 WW and the P4P Number 3. Thats good enough for me. Pac is next hopefully.
Yeah, I mean, if they both win, I feel like Floyd will have made up some ground on the P4P list in comparison to Pacquiao, because Mosley is better than Clottey.

Well I can't knock Pac for that one. Barrera, even though I don't like that guy, was all about given fighters chances (something we don't see alot of champs doing today). He didnt have to give the following guys a chance:

A dangerous as hell Junior Jones

Kevin Kelley (Alot of people wrote Kevin off but barrera still gave him a shot to redeem his career.

dangerous fighter like Pac who was rebuilding his career back up after a huge setback against midgeon sigurat (dude beat pac for piller to post...you should have seen the ring article a month after it happened..lol)

and countless others. So it was only right that now that barrera career was winding down, a top fighter and a guy that was on top of boxing, give him a shot. I can totally respect Pac for that because Barrera was in those same shoes and always gave other boxers shots when he didn't have to.

Floyd gets no credit for beating Marquez...and Clottey's win over Corrales is nothing to brag about. I never nitpick anything Floyd does. I have actually defending him on several occassion..even in this thread. You on the other hand have a fixation with pac and go outta your way to try and discredit him.

Nope. Pac is a an ATG and the P4P number 1. Cant deny that. BUT I will not kiss his ass and act like he is above the sport and above criticism. Hell I even criticize Floyd.

I really don't understand that all. It's not like it was a fight that had never happened (because Pac destroyed him in the first one), and it's not like the public was knocking the door down for the rematch.

It kind of reminds me of Hopkins-Jones II at this point.

I can agree on those points which is why you will never hear me say he ducked Margarito or Cotto. Now I wish he would have fought them instead of retiring for a year...but he said his body needed the rest so I gave him a pass.

But that has nothing to do with him dodging Stevie Johnston back then. Johnston and Castillo would have brought the same amount of money to the table, A HBO date and would have actually been a bigger fight. Floyd came out and said he didnt want to fight a southpaw and Roger came out and said "My nephew isn't ready for a southpaw".
