I think Quintana can beat Berto.

If Berto gets another paycheck for fighting Holt, I'll be sick, I don't even understand how Holt's name got in this in the first place.

      Quitnana would whoop Berto.

      Berto hates southpaws.

What young fighter doesn't try to fight the big names. Mosley fell in and then out of his lap. The first real threat he fought at Welterweight bit him in the ass and he didn't like the feeling, so now he'll fight weak opposition till something big falls in his lap again. We get it, it's business.

So what we are stuck with is a welterweight champ, who hasn't accomplished much of anything in the division, waiting for a big fight. And you wonder why he get's no love?
trust me man, I am not some super Berto fan or a defender. I just think alot of guys get unwarranted hate and people dont try to look at it from all sides. Again, to me its not like they are looking for 140 pounders. They are looking for solid name right handers and they just all happened to be at 140 right now. You act like he's not the champ. If he's the champ then he deserves a good fight. You say that he's waiting for a big fight but I say the big fight is here now. Its just not in the time frame that you want and he's taking something in the meantime. You cant ignore that he had the Mosley fight. You cant ignore that he fouhgt Collazo. Even Urango was a Champ. Its not like he picked some garbage guy from 140.

Also, the Haiti stuff was for the Mosley fight but its not like thats it. He still may not be right mentally. They are still having fund raisers and so on, therefore they may want something easier until he gets his mind back right. I personally dont care about the title. He's not Floyd or anything but I still think he's to the point where his record proceeds him and he can get a good fight next. Mosley will fight him next. Win or lose after that fight, he's fighting good guys. Either other big fights or guys like Quintana or Collazo because he will have gotten that big fight that he wanted. Thats the point. Its not about not wanting something, its about wanting this 1st. After he gets that fight then he will always be fighting guys like Q & C at the least

Khan V Paulie is a better matchup than Berto/Paulie but why is Holt being considered a possible opponent. Berto should be in with top 10 welters not junior welters. The sport of boxing as of late is really pissing me off. Give the fans ***ing real FIGHTS!

I like both fights and would favor the likely underdogs in Malignnaggi and Quintana too win their respective fights by UD.

If Berto Fights Holt he's as good as dead for me!

I might not agree with everything you say, but I respect your opinion. I guess the only thing we can do is wait and see what happens.

No doubt homie. Aint nothing wrong with a healthy debate. We both just want things to workout the best and end up with great fights. One

holt moved up to WW i think, but he's unproven at WW.

berto needs to stop picking on smaller fighters

Mike Jones, Antwone Smith... the damn IBF champ unify the division.... He can not fight another JWW... Come on man if he does that would be 3 JWW in his last 4 fights and the one WW he did fight in that span he went life and death with... And, plus you add that he won a vacant title a full time Mexican cop who got fired cuz he took the fight against Berto... He has to start acting like a WW champ fight a WW... I don't care who it is... It could be Delvin Rodriguez just fight a WW... Do not fight Holt...
